Gwyneth Paltrow Preachin' to the People: Modeling's 'a Perfect Job for When You Have Kids'

I have normal/oily skin with a tendency to be a little oily in the summer. I tried this foundation to see if it would work any better than my regular one. It didn't and in fact my skin felt like I was wearing makeup. I did not use any excessive amount when applying it. No matter how light a hand I used, I could still "feel" it on my skin. It felt more oily than usual. It did nothing to control oil and worst of all it turned slightly orange when my natural skin oils came out. The shade I chose was a match on my skin in natural daylight, too. The ingredients used in the formulation must not like oil because any areas of shine were the areas that turned orange. Yuck. Luckily, I was able to return it. I'm not very impressed with Estee Lauder products as it is but I gave them another chance with this foundation. It failed. I cannot recommend this product.

I received a good sized sample of this face balm and have been using it at night as a "layer" over my regular face lotion. It is much too heavy for daytime use on my normal/oily skin. Dry and very dry skin will benefit from this balm. Because it's meant for drier skins I probably won't be purchasing it once the sample is finished. The consistency is very thick and emollient. A little goes a long way.

On application this eye cream seemed like it would be great. It was a thick, creamy texture and seemed promising. Not long after application, however, it started a burning and stinging on my eyelids and outer corners of eyes. Another reviewer mentioned a saleslady telling her this occurred because the eye area was too dry. NOT so. The cream simply has an ingredient(s) that irritate some people's skin. I gave this product a few more nights of testing and each night I experienced the same burning/stinging. My eyelids and outer corners were even sensitive and burning throughout the day. I don't have sensitive skin, either. Rather than feeling hydrated, my eye area felt dry and uncomfortable. I do not have dry skin and have not experienced this with any other eye cream I have tried. I have discontinued use (which you should do in this case) and I would not purchase or recommend this product. I especially do not recommend it for someone who has sensitive or dry skin.

I had heard a lot of hype about this product so I tried it for myself. I was quite unimpressed. It didn't make any difference in my thick, long, slightly wavy but fine hair. If anything it made it feel coated and flyaway. I didn't overuse the product, either. I use a flatiron on my hair most days and when used with this product the results were not satisfying. The texture of this was thick and goopy and the smell was kind of off putting, also. Maybe it works best on curly, frizzy or coarse hair. It just didn't work for me.

I tried this product because a few people told me it was good. Maybe for them but NOT for me. First, the texture was so thick and drying I had to really dig in to get some balm out for application. Secondly, it made my lips burn (and they weren't chapped, I was using it for wind protection). I can't imagine this burning would feel good on chapped lips. Third, the smell was a very strong medicinal smell. Not pleasant. I suppose if you have cold sores it would be a good drying agent. As a balm it didn't work at all. I got rid of it and will not be purchasing it again.

This product may work somewhat for mild under eye discoloration but will make no difference on medium to dark discoloration. I have mild darkness in the inner corners of my eyes and this brightener didn't do anything I would consider great. A quality concealer will work well without brightener. I wanted to try this product but I wasn't impressed enough with it to buy it again.

I got these tweezers in a brow kit I purchased. While they are good and are designed very well, I didn't find them to be as good as my regular brand of tweezers. I do use these tweezers on occasion but I always go back to my other one. These just don't seem to grasp the fine, short hairs like my others do. They also seem a little duller. They are nice to have as an extra pair, however.

This product is a good idea and it does brighten the eye area - maybe too much. If you have medium, olive, dark or even light olive skin this powder can be a bit too light around the eyes. In a bright or natural sunlight setting it looks obvious and artificial. It has too much white pigment in it. No one wants the reverse raccoon eyes look. If your eye shadow or liner colors are dark this product will intensify the darkness and give a very gothic, almost creepy look. I'd recommend this product for very fair and fair skin as it would work well for them.

This gloss is great as far as texture and wear go. It's not sticky or goopy and it applies well and evenly. For a gloss it last well and fades evenly. The taste however is not so great. While no one "eats" gloss, you can't help but get the taste of it sometimes. This gloss tastes like your eating a very cheap artificial vanilla flavoring - very chemical. The smell is also very artificial and off putting. Perhaps in the future the taste/smell can reformulated.

I was a little apprehensive to try this product because of the large brush. Don't be intimidated because the big brush leads to big and great results. Despite the size it applies well and evenly with no clumping. I recommend using a light hand when applying. I have had good results using two to three coats. You may not be used to using such a large mascara spooly but after a couple light handed applications you will be fine. The mascara has a good texture, not too tacky or thin. I have not had any smearing or smudging with this product. Love it!
