  • Phytomer BodyDéclic Unique Anti-Cellulite Cream

This active cellulite cream contains an interesting combination of ingredients to combat cellulite. Caffeine and two mineral rich algae, Laminara Digitata and Palmaria Palmata, are utilized because of their tremendous action on eliminating fats. The iodine found in the Laminara Digitata triggers metabolism and elimination, and is complemented by mineral ions that help to flush the tissues, prevent fluid retention, and improve circulation. A brown algae (Halopteris Scoparia) incorporated in this formula has shown to have an interesting influence on cells that have not matured to active fat cells. This influence can inhibit the maturation into active fat cells and help slow down fat storage. These are great ingredients to have in the battle against cellulite. The sweet almond, sunflower, jojoba and soya oils promote penetration of the active ingredients, provide emolliency, and are rich with anti-oxidants to ensure the health of the tissues. As with all cellulite products, apply daily for at least 6 weeks before you will see results. Use a light massage technique when applying the product until it has penetrated, and then knead the area of concern to promote the circulation that will help break up the constricted fibers and clusters of fat. This process will enhance your results. Weekly exfoliation, drinking more water and adding a little cardio will help speed up your results.

  • Sothy's Secrets de Sothys Creme

    Sothy's Secrets de Sothys Creme

The Luxurious Secret of Sothys Secrets Cream

There are many great creams out there, but this is one of the best the industry has to offer. Sothys knocked themselves out with this cream as it works to battle the negative effects of hormonal activity and stress, and its side effects, within a few hours. It is a pleasure to apply, silky in texture, and has a very pleasant (but faint) scent, which is very important. Lots of anti-oxidants and peptides, and iris extract to increase of collagen and elastin. Of course, there are no real 'miracles' out there, but this is pretty darn close, . . . if you are over 40. Younger? Maybe not so much.

  • Murad Energizing Pomegranate Moisturizer SPF 15

Murad's Energizing Pomegranate Moisturizer - SPF 15- is a light textured moisturizer with sunscreen protection that offers a nice combination of UVA and UVB protection, essential for protecting the skin. Dr. Murad, known for his pomegranate research, is the first to incorporate the pomegranate's multi-tasking talents into anti-aging skin care, sun care products, and internal supplements (more on those later). As a powerful antioxidant, pomegranate extract contains potent free radical neutralizers that work hard to mitigate the damage that directly causes aging. As an added bonus, pomegranate boosts the healing process and the SPF of a moisturizer and/or sunscreen . . . long story short, less chemicals are needed to do the job, and that is always very good thing. The plant, vitamin, and mineral components boost this product into much more than just a sunscreen. Artemia extract, an algae, is a back-up antioxidant supporting the renewal process. The mineral trio (magnesium, zinc, copper) will help activate cell metabolism. Copper plays an important role in the formation and quality of collagen and elastin fibers (strengthening the elasticity of skin and blood vessels), Zinc accelerates healing and is an effective sun protector, and Magnesium is considered the anti-stress mineral playing a major role in health and functioning of cell membranes and promoting lymph circulation. The texture will be more suited to a normal to seborrheic skin, unless a nourishing serum is applied underneath (remember always wait a minute or so between layering of products). Not recommended for dry skin. (original post seen at www.beautyeditorpost.blogspot.com)

  • Dermalogica Intensive Eye Repair

Dermalogica’s Intensive Eye Repair is a great multi-tasking cream offering an abundance of unique active ingredients specifically targeted to the special needs of the eye area. It has been carefully formulated to keep the skin healthy while working hard to maintain the integrity and function of this fragile skin. This cream has great healing regenerative properties, work-horse antioxidants to neutralize free radicals, ingredients to prevent puffy eye lids, super hydrators, and powerful botanicals to soothe and decongest the eye area. Dermalogica incorporated a selection of plant extracts and vitamins that work together to aid circulation and help strengthen the eye's delicate tissue while allowing the skin to do its job of repairing and regenerating itself. What more could you want? This praiseworthy product is easy to recommend to those who are 25+. Someone who is 45+ may want something more age appropriate. • Jan Marini Skin Research Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant SPF 33

Jan Marini's Daily Face Protectant SPF30 presents an improved sunscreen formula that truly packs a power punch in the sunscreen/skin care arena. The carefully chosen sun screens give a thorough mix of both UVA and UVB protection. Not only does this protectant leave a pleasant light feel to the skin, it applies nicely over a treatment serum or skin booster, . . . which is always a nice added touch for your skin care routine. That said, the upgraded star of this show is a relatively new and interesting plant based ingredient, PhytoMelaninâ„¢, derived from the fruit of the date palm. PhytoMelaninâ„¢ is said to mimic human melanin offering a critical edge of protection against UV damage. This product also offers an extra added benefit of the super hydrating ingredient, hyaluronic acid, serving to support the moisture content of the skin. Overall, this is a well thought out hydrating sunscreen product with an added bonus of antioxidant activity. More bang for your sun protection buck! • Babor High Skin Refiner Lifting Cream

Babor High Skin Refiner Lifting Cream

This nourishing anti-aging cream incorporates specific ingredients to offer a reported 24 hour firming effect for mature, tired skin. This thought provoking formula contains a few powerful lipids, including shea butter, jojoba, and mango seed oil, offering the EFA's (essential fatty acids) needed by the skin cells and important emollient and regenerative properties. There are some key ingredients to help balance the enzymes that degrade old collagen and elastin with the intention of orchestrating harmony in the degeneration and regeneration process. Translation? This symmetry slows the aging process. This protein heavy cream utilizes soya proteins to help the skin deal with deterioration due to hormonal fluctuations, especially when specific amino acids from soya are used. The wheat proteins are an added asset to tighten the surface of the skin. The tried and true antioxidants vitamin C and E help neutralize free radical activity and the Vitamin B5 is essential for healthy skin. While this formulation does not contain any peptides, or hyaluronic acid, Babor selected bee\'s wax and other ingredients to offer protection to the skin and slow moisture loss. • Guinot Age Logic Cellulaire

    Guinot Age Logic Cellulaire

    Beauty Editor Post

Guinot Age Logic Cellulaire has certainly covered all of the bases with just under 100 ingredients, (not counting any trade secrets) and a whopping 19 amino acids which are the worker bees necessary for cellular repair, cellular maintenance, and hydration. The superstar ingredient, ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is a brilliant cell booster that transports energy within the cells to support natural cellular activity. Guinot has incorporated almost every vitamin into this product showcasing its performance as a multivitamin for the skin. Vitamins C and E are found in different compounds, offering better anti-oxidant capabilities and increasing the bioavailability of these vitamins for collagen production. In order to create collagen and elastin (dermal proteins) there must be a presence of copper, which Guinot has factored into this cream. The compliment of hydrating ingredients along with the hydrolyzed soya will help to diminish and slow down the degradation of the skin. The silicone carriers provide protection and a light soothing feel to the skin. The downside? The fragrance is a little strong at first, but this diminishes quickly. Overall, this cream could have a better peptide content, but with the "kitchen sink" theory, (throw it all in there and something good will happen), Guinot has accomplished the creation of a performance oriented formula.
