    OPI Nail Lacquer

    One of the best.

The only complaint I have about these nail polishes is that once you find a color you love, chances are its season will be over. Then, good luck finding more. Other than that, holy cow! These nail polishes are color dense, especially the reds, which are so flattering. Right now, I'm wearing Thanks So Much-ness from the Alice in Wonderland Collection, but you really can't go wrong with any of their bright reds.

    Benefit moon beam

    Great color, awful finish

I bought this after running out of my illuminating primer, thinking that this, in conjunction with the Laura Mercier primer I bought, would be the new and improved version of the look I was trying to achieve (which was a glowing, effervescent visage on four hours' sleep). I liked the glow this product gave me, but it was useless under foundation. Not only did the iridescence not shine through even the sheerest of foundations, but it turned my once-velvety foundation into a sticky mess that refused to set. I decided to use it over foundation, only on the tops of my cheekbones, and I've gotten much better results. I still prefer to go as bare-faced as I can stand, and this doesn't wow me enough to add to my regular makeup regimen. I use it when I'm in need of hat little something extra or have just gotten bitten by the dewy finish bug.

  • E.L.F. Essential Eye Shadow Brush

    E.L.F. Essential Eye Shadow Brush

    This brush does so much!

It slices! It dices! Just kidding. It really is a great multi-purpose brush, great for traveling. You can use it to apply eye shadow, of course (it picks up a lot of color, be warned). You can also wet the tip and use it to turn your favorite shadows into a liner. And in a pinch, you can clean the shadow off your brush and use it to apply eyebrow powder, it's so dense. I'm so glad I picked it up on a whim!

  • Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream Night

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream Night

    A fantastic basic night cream!

As a 21 year old who is just dipping her toe into preventative anti aging, I love this. It makes my skin look younger and glowy. I don't have any aging to reverse, though, and if I was older, I'd probably look elsewhere for a more potent formula. If you are looking for a tiny improvement or prevention, this is the cream for you!

    Secret Flawless Renewal Invisible Solid

    It's a decent deodorant.

It's not my favorite deodorant, but it works a lot better than some. I like my armpits to still smell like deodorant at the end of the day, and this one's fragrance doesn't last (although it does prevent odors). That's just my preference. It does everything a deodorant is supposed to do (for me, at least). I keep a mini of this in the car for when I forget to put on deodorant [which happens more often than I'd like to admit! ;)]

  • Revlon 3D Extreme Waterproof Mascara

I, too, saw the commercials that claimed this was the Holy Grail of mascaras, and I believed it. I returned my first tube because it was so clumpy, I thought it must have been faulty product. The girl I returned it to agreed. When my second tube looked the same, I knew that I wasn't going to find anything worth using, much less a Holy Grail, in any of this glammed-up packaging.

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub

I liked the original grapefruit wash, so I thought, "This is probably the same wash, BUT WITH SCRUBBIES! It must be better!" Wrong. I don't know what it was. I switched from the original to the scrub, and my skin flipped out. I switched back, and everything healed. Switched back to the scrub, thinking it deserved a second try, and the problem came back. So I threw the almost full bottle in the trash.

  • L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Any Angle Self-Tanning Spray

It smells so bad, I spent the day I used it apologizing. It's streaky. And it's hard to tell where you sprayed and where you didn't.

  • Maybelline New York Volum' Express Falsies Flared Washable

One of my friends came into work looking like she'd gotten lash extensions, so I asked her what she'd done. She told me she uses this. I used it, and I was worse than unhappy. The brush is unwieldy, and even the steadiest of hands somehow achieve smudges. It doesn't do anything for length. Most of the time, when a mascara fails to satisfy, I wait until the bottle runs out to try something new. I threw this baby in the trash after about a week. I asked he how she got such good results, and THEN she tells me she paired this junk with the Shu Emura curler! Sheesh!

  • Evian Mineral Water Spray
    10.0

    Evian Mineral Water Spray

I don't leave home without it.

Not only does it feel amazing, but it hydrates, and it sets makeup. Any powder type makeup I use just melts into my face with a quick spritz of this beauty. Plus, now that they make it in travel sizes, there's no need to leave it at home when you take to the skies. I just don't see the big deal about the price. 10 dollars for a foundation setter that doesn't add product, a makeup refresher that can add dewiness to your tired, hours-old makeup in 5 seconds, and a nice way to revive you if you're feeling tired and hot? I'll take it.
