I wish I'd found this sooner! The best powder foundation out there
This is an all-around fabulous powder foundation with medium coverage-the powder itself is very light and natural looking. I was initially wary of the color choices as the range seems limited, but I am beyond impressed with how perfectly it matches my light, yellow-undertone skin; I wear O20. I also layer this on top of foundation for added coverage, and it still looks natural and feels light on the skin. In addition, this is light enough to use for touch-ups, as it does not become cakey. The price is very reasonable, especially since you buy the compact once and purchase the powder refill thereafter, which means you save money and produce less packaging waste.

basic yet rich moisturizer
I use this along with the gentle cleanser and Lotion Plus in the GlyDerm line, and it rounds out an amazing skincare regimen. This cream is luxurious feeling-it feels very rich, yet isn't at all greasy. I have found that I only need to use a little bit, as it goes a long way to moisturize my skin. In addition, since I use this following the Lotion Plus, it is very soothing in counteracting the potency of the Lotion Plus. The price is very reasonable for such a rich moisturizing cream; also, there are also other formulations to choose from depending on your skin type. UPDATE: I used to think this cream was worth the money, but I have noticed they hiked up the price on this, so I am reconsidering whether I would use this again, since I can find a comparable one for less money.

nothing spectacular about this one
I bought this mascara because I was looking for a waterproof formula, and while there is nothing to write home about with this mascara, it did not stay put! Within a couple hours, I found that it flaked off and smudged like crazy both above and below my eyes. It's not like I have an oily eye area-I do use primer, so I guess I can chalk it up to this mascara having a terrible formulation. Oh, and it does wash off easily for me, unsurprisingly. I wanted to like this mascara and tried to continue using it, thinking it wouldn't wear like this every day, but nope, I was wrong-the mascara is that bad.

the best high protection facial sunscreen out there
I have pigmentation issues on my face, and require a high SPF, so I apply this under my makeup year-around. Although it is a cream formulation, I find that it is not too thick or greasy at all. I just wait several minutes after I apply this to allow it to dry a bit before I apply primer and foundation. It smoothes on very easily and feels lightweight, while the scent is clean and not sunscreen-y, which is a plus. Best of all, it does not leave behind a white residue as long as you blend it in well. Also, at the end of the day, I can easily remove every last trace with makeup remover wipes, followed by a gentle cleanser. This is by far my favorite facial sunscreen, and the tube is generously sized, so it is well worth the money.

not for those seeking anything more than sheer coverage
While I was sucked in by the idea that it could self-adjust to match my skintone, I overlooked the amount of coverage it could offer. This product was far too sheer, and didn't seem to offer any sort of coverage-pretty much invisible in my opinion. Maybe, that's the "science" behind this product-it's so sheer that anyone can put it on and it'll match. In my opinion, it seems to be an overstatement to be called "makeup", as it's more like a tinted moisturizer, although I still wouldn't use it as one. This might work on those with flawless skin or those who want virtually no coverage, but will otherwise be a disappointment if you're looking for an actual foundation.

the absolute best for those seeking full, natural coverage
This foundation is as good as it gets: it offers buildable coverage and comes in a wide range of colors so you can find the one that matches your skintone. I have freckles and imperfections on my face, and this helps cover those up. I use a dampened wedge sponge as suggested for maximum coverage, and this seems to make all the difference for me. Also, this is creamy and highly pigmented so you only need to use a small amount. The natural looking coverage lasts all day and feels so light on the skin. Although this foundation is pricey, the quality is truly worth it, and since you only need to use a little bit the tube lasts a long time.

I gave this a shot after I read rave reviews about this product in its ability to reduce hyperpigmentation, including freckles. I consistently used this product twice a day as suggested for about half a year. Two bottles later, this gel did not reduce a lick of hyperpigmentation or discoloration. I have not one positive thing to say about this product, and it is not helped by the fact that it is pricey. Overall, the amount of hydroquinone(2%) in this is far too weak to yield results.

high glycolic acid concentration=mild stinging + strong results
I have been using this lotion for about a month and I am very pleased so far. While my skin is not sensitive, this lotion stings upon application. As expected, the stinging is due to the 10% glycolic acid concentration of the product, but luckily, it goes away for me after awhile. The key is to use the smallest amount possible to cover the skin. I have concluded that the temporary pain is worth the results: noticeably clearer and brighter skin. I am especially amazed by how soft and smooth my skin is. I also use the Gentle cleanser 2%, followed by this lotion, then the Hydrotone cream for my skincare regimen. Overall, the price is very reasonable for the effectiveness of the product. Since you only need to use a little bit of product, the 4oz bottle goes a long way. I would recommend this to those who are willing to tolerate a bit of pain for the sake of beauty, and have used products containing glycolic acid in the past without any problems.

very average product for Laura Mercier
While I love virtually every other product I use in the Laura Mercier line, this one is fairly unimpressive. The texture is great-almost creamy, but I can't seem to tell a difference in whether or not my makeup stays put longer or goes on more evenly. One downside to this product is that it seems to take a long time to dry/set, especially since I use moisturizer and sunscreen, so I'm left feeling a bit greasy-faced. I otherwise have normal skin. I suppose it might work better on bare, dry skin? For me, one criteria that indicates a primer is acting as a primer is that leaves a dry, matte finish. This one doesn't do that for me, and neither does the price.

lives up to its name
This product is great in that it offers the coverage I need-it's somehow sheer yet covers like a foundation Best of all, it can be layered for additional coverage. The only qualm I have about this product is that the color choices aren't as extensive. There seems to be a big gap from light to medium-the Nude is too light and the Sand is too dark for my skin tone. I have found that mixing these two shades provides the closest match for me. Overall, I would say this is the best tinted moisturizer out there; yes, a little pricey, but worth it.
