  • Bumble and bumble Prep Spray

Maybe I'm waxing fondly for Prep right now because I'm out of it and jonsing for more, but this stuff is a "must have" for my hair arsenal. About three (four?) years ago I went through the "gotta have all B&B products" and I stocked up on all sorts of stuff. Well, the Prep os one of the few products that I still use all the time, after every shampoo. I'm forty-something and have a lot of somewhat naturally wavy (though it blowdries straight sraight) fine hair. Prep helps to control flyaways and maintain my style. It doesn't weigh down my style like other products do. With Prep and maybe another product I'm good to go.

  • Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle Serum
    8.0

Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle Serum

    Good but not a "miracle"

Like many of the reviewers, I have very weak nails. Mine get to a certain length and begin to peel. Nail Growth Miracle helps to reinforce and strenthen them while they grow out. However, if I stop using the product, or use a different product they begin to peel. Nails remain flexible while using this product, which is good for doing household chores (loading laundry for example). I don't like being "tied to" a product for life though so I'm not giving it a perfect score. I also don't like that once I stop using it my nails revert back to their preuse condition.

  • Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion

    Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion

Gentle, soothing and just feels good

I've used many products on my skin, both very expensive and not-so expensive looking for fantastic results. As a forty-something perimenopausal woman my facial skin seems to change almost daily, from oily to dry and back again. I rescued a bottle of Clinique Mild Clariying Lotion out of the back of the cabinet after waking up to a particularly red, puffy face. The Clinique is calming, soothing and just feels good. Ot removes impurities that regular, harsh soaps just don't (and that I really don't want touching my face anyway. The Clinique line is gentle in general without a lot of strong fragrances which I really like. Glad I rescued mine and will continue to use it.

  • Caress Glowing Touch Body Bar

    Caress Glowing Touch Body Bar

Great scent, does stay on skin

My mom left behind her exfoliating Caress Glowing Touch when she was at my home and I was using it but it was a little too rough on my skin. The scent is really nice though so I sought out the bars in the store; I'm not usually a bar soap user. This is really gentle on the skin and doesn't leave any residue behind. Nice scent more man or woman. Highly recommend. I'm VERY sensitive to odors/smells easily get migraines from "fake" smelling bath products. This soap has never caused this reaction in me. I will continue to use it and it is very affordable though I would say overly packaged. I bout a 4-pack (?). Couldn't 4 bars of soap be put into one box? Otherwise happ customer :-))

  • Clairol Nice 'n Easy Perfect 10

Clairol Nice 'n Easy Perfect 10

    Great Salon Alternative

My husband was laid-off for 14 months and I'm a SAHM. After about 4 months I realized my $300 a salon visit to keep my lovely long brunette hair blonde would have to end. After much pouting I went to the mall and had a color and cut for $80 and began dying my own hair at home using the Perfect 10 kit. I use the reddish amber color. My husband is back at work now but Im still dying my own hair with the perfect 10 saving myself hundreds of dollars. My hair doesn't look as good, but its worth it. This is a great product IMO and very easy to use for us novices. The brush tip makes for easy application. The 10 minute leave in time is wonderful. I paid $6.99 with coupon last time I purchased.

  • Olay Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream

I was soooo looking forward to using this product. I'm a Perricone user and due to the cost I was hoping for an alternative. I've been doing a trial test of the ProX (I got it as a trial sample) for about 2 weeks now. I've had to put the Perricone in the cabinet so it won't tempt me into using it! The ProX feels like Crisco on my face and does not absorb into the skin; it just lays there on top. I've been putting it on the top of my hands too hoping to see some of the crepeness go away which seems to be beneficial. So maybe it works for the hands (I surely cannot afford Perricone for my hands...LOL). I don't know what all the hype is about the ProX. I think its overpriced. I've used original Olay since I was about 12. And I still do as a base. Can't beat the price! And its been around a loooong time.

  • Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser

    Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser

    Mild gentle cleansing

This cleanser is lovely. It has a wonderful fragrance. I use this prior to using Perricone products for my facial regimine both in the morning and evening. The cleanser leaves my skin soft and clean feeling; not oily or like theres a layer of something floating on my skin. I could leave the house just with cleansing my face and it would be fine. Lovely product, reasonably priced.

  • Veet Ready-to-Use Wax Strips Legs and Body

I've waxed my own brows and legs before with costlier Brazilain kits. But I wanted something quick to remove the tiny (as i get older) little hairs under my bottom lip. Oh my goodness! This hurt so bad...never ever again will I use this type of product, I actually took of my skin and not the hair! Maybe I did it incorrectly. I dunno. It's inexpensive enough for those who know what they're doing if it actually works. I sure won't buy it again and wouldt let anybody use it on me. Its like rat-trap paper!

  • N.V. Perricone Neuropeptide Facial Conformer

When I turned the corner at 45 yrs old I starting noticing tiny lines I never noticed before. Since I was about 12 I routinely used Original Oil of Olay on my face and thankfully I had clear skin. However for several years I was a drinker and a smoker and both probably took their toll. I have some enlarged pores on my nose and at the edges of my mouth as well as fine lines (crows feet) and at my brow. Other than that my wrinkles are pretty minimal. My skin discoloration and a bit of sagging was my issue. Perricone products have really addressed these issues. I have gone from red, blotchy skin to fairly clear. I have no age marks. My sagginess is somewhat tigher and people are even commenting on how healthy I appear. I've been using Perricone for about three months. I didn't give it the highest rating because of cost. It's high for us moderate income households. I don't buy new clothes or shoes so I can buy Perricone. And I will go out of the house any day, any time without makeup.
