A brand that's not afraid of colors
I use nail polish from Opi, Essie and Zoya but out of the three, Opi is the one that I have the most success with in terms of color pay-off and staying power. I'm generally rough with my hands and I definitely don't baby my nails and this is the brand I keep going back to when I want my polish to stay around a little longer. They have almost as many shades as Zoya and the colors they have range from subtle, light neutrals to bold and edgy, to the most unusual. Opi is definitely not afraid to use colors to make a statement. My favorite thus far is their France Collection with neutral shades of beige and muted purples which are great fall shades. Color pay-off is excellent but some shades are a bit thick and hard to apply so a thinner is a must with those. Without a base and top coat, I can get about 4 days of wear before signs of fading or chipping sets in. With a good base/top coat, I can easily get a week of wear and sometimes even longer, depending on which shades I'm wearing as some shades seem to last longer. The brush applicator is good in that application of most colors are smooth, except for the ones that are a bit thick in consistency. This is definitely one of the best nail polish brand I have tried and rivals the likes of more expensive brands for a fraction of the price.

Excellent product for achieving smooth, supple lips.
Even though we don't have winters where I live, my lips are prone to drying, chapping and cracking. I've tried many lip treatments over the yrs to combat this and June Jacobs Lip Renewal is one of the best I have used. The product comes in a cream form and contains essentials like shea butter and vitamin E which are good for healing problem lips. I use this product at night before going to bed and by morning, my lips are soft, smooth and moisturized. The big plus is it makes any lip product you put on (like lipstick or lip gloss) look better because your lips are smoother in general. It does help diminish the looks of grooves and lines on the lips and gives a plumping illusion. A definite repeat buy for me.

Better as a top coat than a base coat
This product initially appealed to me because of the convenience of having both a base and top coat all in one bottle. The direction says to apply on bare nails, let dry, apply 2-3 coats of nail polish, let dry and then apply over the nail polish. Well, I followed the directions to a tee, letting each layer dry thoroughly. I was quite disappointed when, after two hours, the color on the tips of my nails sort of started peeling off. I figured it's either: the product isn't compatible with the nail polish or the layers are simply too thick to dry completely. Keep in mind I made sure each coat of both the Ultimate Shield and nail color was dried before applying another layer. I've had to re-do my nails after that and decided that instead of applying a base coat that I would just apply my nail polish directly on my nails and use this as top coat. Viola! Problem solved. No more peeling color. I would've given it a slightly higher rating had it not been for the problem I experienced.

Beautiful colors, drying on lips
I love VS products but I'm on the fence with their lipsticks. I'm usually a lipgloss kind of girl but when I saw these lippies at the VS store, I just had to try them because the color selection is very nice. While the lipstick felt light on the lips and glided on smoothly, it didn't stay on too long. I'd give it about 2 hrs max. Also, the color (especially the darker ones), tend to bleed so a lip liner is must with these. Perhaps my biggest gripe about it is how it made my lips feel after a few hrs of use. It left them dry and slightly chapped so I had to apply a lip balm underneath it to keep my lips from drying out excessively. The only problem with having a lip balm underneath is it makes the lipstick bleed easier and fade faster. I did have better results applying the lip product with a lip brush so the coverage wasn't' too heavy. Done this way the lipstick (darker colors) leaves a stain on my lips when the actual product faded. Not a bad product but for the price, there are better ones out there.

One of my favorite perfumes, J'adore reminds me of gardenias with a hint of woodsy essence. It is light, carefree and young. It is not overpowering and not overly "floral", even when newly spritzed on. I'm in my early twenties and this scent suits my age perfectly. I constantly get compliments when wearing it and my husband absolutely loves it. The container resembles a teardrop and the scent lasts about 6 hrs on me. A repeat buy.

One of my all time favorite nail polish brand
What I love the most about Zoya polish is it comes in 300 shades (if I'm not mistaken). The shades are gorgeous and some colors are unusual. The color pay-off and opacity is very good, especially for the darker colors which I only need one coat of. It also goes on smooth and dries in a quick without streaking. The key to this polish lasting longer is to use a base coat underneath. I use the Zoya base coat and top coat but have also used other brands of base coat with the same results. With both the base and top coat, the polish lasted one whole week without so much as chipping or peeling. In fact this polish lasted much longer on my nails than my more expensive Chanel polish. Bottom line...this polish has a good "bang for your buck".

More like a lipstain than a balm
In my experience, the darker colors are a bit more long lasting than lighter shades. I was surprised this is marketed as a balm as it leaves a stain of sheer color on my lips, much like a lipstain would. Also, for a balm, staying power is pretty good. I'd give it about 4 hrs on me tops, without eating or drinking. The scent was light and not obnoxious and my lips felt supple while wearing it. The big plus is it's not sticky, tacky or icky. The only gripe I have is the color is not as intense on my lips as it is in the container. Still, I find the sheerness of it useful for daytime look. If only it came in a tube form, it would be more convenient to use as I'm not too fond of lip products that come in a pot.

A Love/Hate Relationship With It
The reason I said that is because although the colors are just absolutely gorgeous, they tend to chip on me quite easily, especially the darker colors. My Black Satin chipped off in 2 days. At first I thought it was just the bottle I had so when I got another bottle, the same thing happened, only it chipped after 1 day. It's too bad because Chanel's nail polishes have excellent colors that goes on opaque and dries in a quick, but for this price, it should last a little longer. I've had better luck with Essie , Opi and Zoya.

Great for on the go.
This is great when I'm barefaced and want to freshen up during the day without having to use soap and water. The cleanser is ultra gentle to use, won't strip your face of its natural oils while leaving your skin soft and supple. And because it's so gentle, it won't remove heavy makeup either. I tried using this while wearing my Shiseido sunscreen and it just won't do. Still, it's a good cleanser if you're wearing little makeup or no makeup at all and I found it beneficial when cleaning the eye area as it doesn't sting. What I love most about it is the mild fruity scent it leaves on your skin.

Provides excellent lash separation for a full bodied look!
One criteria I always look for in a good mascara is how well it separates my already thick lashes. The worst a mascara can do is group my thick lashes into sections, giving it a thin, spidery-legs effect that NEVER looks good. Unfortunately, I have used many of those types of mascaras in the past, regardless of brand or price. Well, I think I have found one that doesn't do that. The Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara not only does an excellent job separating my lashes, it gave it volume and length without so much as clumping even after 2-3 coats! The mascara comes in a black, hourglass shape tube and the brush has a slight "s" shape to it. I suspect the shape of the brush has a lot to do with how well the product separates and thickens lashes. The mascara is slightly on the wet side and there's a lot of product deposited on the brush when you pull it out of the tube. And because of this wetness, the mascara takes a bit longer to dry. The black color is a very good black and slightly on the shiny side. In the morning, I find that one coat of this does the trick of giving me dramatic, long, thick and clump-free lashes. Of course if you want to step it up a notch and add additional coats, this product will deliver and won't clump and flake while you're applying it. An overall excellent buy and definitely a repeat buy! Yes the mascara isn't cheap but you do get what you pay for.
