    Nars Lip Gloss

Lovely colors but way too sticky and gooey for me

I have the colors "Babe" which is a nice, soft and sheer orangey-reddish summer color and very flattering on my skin tone and "Giza" which is a milky, light beige-peach color when I want that 'nude" lip effect. Both glosses have a very high shine factor. Although I love the colors, I find it too sticky, feels heavy and real goopy as well. I really wanted to like them because the color selection is great but I just can't stand the way my lips feel when wearing them. These are definitely the "hair sticks to your lips on a windy day" kind of glosses. Almost as thick in consistency to MAC's Lipglass but not as sticky. I'm surprised some reviewers said it's not sticky at all but I guess to each their own. Length of wear is average and about as long as any other lip gloss. Eating oily foods take it off right away. Normal wear on me without eating or drinking lasts about 40 minutes. I much prefer the lipglosses by Korres as they are less sticky and heavy and cheaper too although their color selection isn't as vast as NARS.

  • MAC Technakohl Liner

Not much different from other automatic liners except maybe it goes on a bit easier but sadly, it disappears too quickly. For the price, I can find cheaper, comparable ones for the performance.

  • LORAC Lotsa Lash Mascara

    LORAC Lotsa Lash Mascara

    What's so special about it?

It accomplishes the same, exact thing as other cheaper mascaras do. I didn't like it because it caused my lashes to clump and were hard to separate with a lash brush, giving me that spider legs effect I despise so much. I'd rather stick to my MAC Zoom Lash. At least that one gives me thicker appearing lashes and really opens up my eyes.

  • Avon Healthy Remedies Detox Patches

I bought this from a friend as a favor because she works for Avon and honestly it doesn't do a thing. Those black specs are not toxins, they are dirt plain and simple...lol! If you have healthy kidneys and liver, they are sufficient enough to filter all the toxins in your body. Like I said, I just bought these as a favor to a friend. Definitely won't be purchasing these again.

  • Fusion Beauty LipFusion Lip Plumping Pencil

I got this along with the Lip Fusion XL, both of which were a disappointment. No plumping at all. This is just an overpriced lip pencil/liner which doesn't do as promised. The same effect can be had with other lip pencils for cheaper. The only thing going for it is the color, nothing more.

PCA Skin pHaze 13 Pigment Gel

For heavy hyperpigmentation, stick to prescription Hydroquinone!

I had some hyperpigmented spots on my face from monthly breakouts and wanted to fade them. I tried this product and even after 4 months of regular use, I didn't see a difference. The 2% Hydroquinone it contains isn't strong enough to alleviate the dark patches. I went to my derm and got myself a prescription for 4% Hydroquinone plus Retin-A instead which got rid of the discoloration completely in just 2 months. Way too expensive for something that doesn't work.

    Got2b Curled-Up Spray

    Got2b disappointing

I have naturally wavy hair and after using this product, it weighed my natural waves down and made my hair dry. It also made my hair quite stiff and unmanageable. I just had to wash it out to get rid of the icky feel. Not worth it for me.

  • Philosophy The Microdelivery Exfoliating Cloths

I can accomplish the same or better purchasing those Buf-Puf exfoliating sponges from my local drugstore for far cheaper. It's way too overpriced for what it is, especially since there are other cheaper products that can do the same exact thing.

  • Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45
    7.0

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45

Protects real well but runs off of my skin during sweating

This was the sunscreen I used to use before I switched over to Shiseido Sunscreen. The one I had was spf 70 w/Helioplex. Helioplex is a chemical that supposedly helps the sunscreen remain stable for longer periods w/out breaking down in the sun. I don't think the spf 30 contains it. While I like the consistency which dries to a semi matte finish, it doesn't hold up well when I go for a run. The product literally drips off in a milky white mess off my skin during heavy sweating even though this is advertised as sweat resistant. As a result, I have to keep reapplying after about an hr. Very inconvenient. The good part is the sunscreen doesn't make me feel like an oil slick, which is a plus. Blendability is also pretty easy but the higher in spf you go, the harder it is to blend. It does leave a somewhat whitish cast on the skin if you put too much on so the key is using just the right amount. I live in Hawaii and the product does an excellent job in protecting against sunburn and prevents me from tanning too much but only if I don't sweat it off. It is also a good makeup base but not as good as Shiseido sunscreen for holding the makeup in place. Still, the price is very reasonable for the protection that you get. I would still use this one if I didn't have a better choice.

  • Max Factor Lipfinity Lipstick
    1.0

    Max Factor Lipfinity Lipstick

    Extremely drying to lips

I was given the Cover Girl Outlast and was disappointed with it so I wanted to give this one a shot to see if it was any better. Sadly, it was exactly the same thing, only the color selection is a bit different. With this on, it made my lips dry and cracked. Applying the moisture stick does help but only temporarily as it comes off way too soon and I had to keep reapplying it throughout the day to keep moisture on my lips. I also hated the way the product felt and it made me want to remove it. When the color dries up, it crinkles up and flakes off in irregular patches. It lasts long only if you don't eat anything oily because oily foods tend to take it right off but since I hated the way the product felt, I didn't care if it lasted long at all. I just wanted it off. Won't be using any of these types of products ever again.
