  • Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow

I freaking love this eye shadow! For someone with eyelids like oil slicks, this is a must have. It can even be used as a base for other eye shadows if push comes to shove. I have tried so many eye shadows and eye shadow primers and this is the first eye shadow I’ve ever used where a primer is not necessary for a lasting look. I actually purchased this when it first came out, on a whim like I am want to do, because of the attractively circular packaging. I am always seduced by claims of “24 hours” or “12 hours” because that might mean the product actually lasts through the day for me. Usually they disappoint, but not this one! I actually believe it might last 24 hours, although that doesn’t sound particularly healthy. I have the bronze and gold colors and really like both. They aren’t particularly pigmented, I had to apply the shadow a few times with the tip of my finger for the color to achieve it’s full potential. But at the same time it’s nice because you can achieve a wide variety of intensity with your eye color look. And boy, do these stay on! I even put this under my eye and it didn’t budge a bit! They do dry pretty quickly; so if you desire to do any amount of blending you have to do it fast. What I would recommend if you’re going to do layering is put a layer of this eye shadow on first and then layer the other colors on top. It will also make them last much longer. I would recommend this to EVERYONE, because it’s fantastic and doesn’t crease, goes on smoothly, and lasts all day! I’m probably going to end up buying all the colors, because they’re all beautiful.

    CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

    Best for sensitive skin

I have extremely sensitive, oily skin with eczema. Periodically I break out in dry, flaky patches on my face that don't go away no matter how much moisturizer I use. When I use steroid cream, it makes my acne worse. Recently I realized that the face products I've been using are probably causing the eczema patches. So I researched face products and found CeraVe. I am so glad I did! Ever since I started using this face wash with the moisturizer, my dry flaky patches have completely cleared up. It cleanses my skin and keeps it from getting oily (and my skin gets very oily), but doesn't irritate it at all. I can even use it to remove eye makeup. It suds up easily and feels velvety smooth. I actually look forward to washing my face now. I'd recommend this to anyone with normal to oily sensitive skin. It's fantastic.

    Benefit They're Real! Mascara

    Holy grail product

All this time I've been reading reviews and looking at blogs, I thought "holy grail" products were a myth. With any product I've ever tried, there's always been a downside- mascara especially. I have extremely oily eyelids, so I'm always on the lookout for a mascara that lasts. The problem is I have eczema around my eyes and waterproof mascara always causes irritation when I remove it. This is the first mascara I've ever tried that truly lasts all day without smudging or flaking and is easy to remove. It is also a dream to apply. It goes on smoothly, completely without clumps. It definitely lengthens and defines all my lashes. I don't know about fake, but it definitely makes my lashes look long, thick, and defined. It's not as thickening as other mascaras I've tried, but I wasn't looking for that. This is the perfect mascara! I'll be using this for a long time.

  • Maybelline New York Full 'N Soft Waterproof Mascara

I was incredibly disappointed by this product! I absolutely love the original Full ‘n Soft formula; it’s one of my favorite mascaras. After seeing the great reviews for the waterproof formula on here, I went and picked some up. The waterproof formula goes on just as nice and has a similar effect on the lashes, making them look soft, glossy, and full, but almost immediately it started smudging on me! Throughout the day it kept getting worse and worse, and by the end of the day I had full on raccoon eyes. The worst part was, it was very difficult to take off! I don’t understand how a mascara can smudge so much but be so hard to remove! I do have pretty oily eyelids, so this may work better on people with dryer skin. I just don’t think Full ‘n Soft is a mascara that’s made to be waterproofed. I’m going to stick to the original formula from now on.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer

I’m really surprised that this product hasn’t gotten better ratings. I bought a tube of this at CVS after I saw it recommended on youtube in a bunch of different videos. I have been very impressed so far! First off, it’s not too expensive; I think I picked it up for around $7. I bought it with the intention of using it to conceal and brighten my under eye area, and so far it’s done a great job. Let me tell you, this is not an easy task. I have tried several under eye-type concealers and none of them have worked well for me at all. I have horribly dark under eye circles, but the skin around my eyes is also extremely sensitive (prone to eczema) while also being very oily. Everything I’ve used up to this point has either made my eczema flare up or melted off after a couple of hours. This did neither! It stayed on throughout the day, helped cover up my circles, and wasn’t too drying or too oily for my skin. It’s also great for making me look more awake when I haven’t slept well. It’s also easy and fun to apply. It has a brush-tip applicator where you click the formula up and it comes out through the brush. After that I just dab it into the surrounding skin with my ring finger, and, viola! I have light beige-y golden skin and I use the shade nude. If you want it more for highlighting, I would recommend picking up a lighter shade than your natural skin color. Some of the shades, like radiant, have a pinkish hue that is good for counteracting the blue color of under eye circles. Also, if you buy it at CVS, you can return it even after you use it if you don’t like it. I bought 2 colors and just returned the one I didn’t like.

  • China Glaze Nail Lacquer with Hardeners

I absolutely love this nail color. For the price and quality, it's the best you can get. It's just as good as OPI and Essie, if not better. It always goes on smoothly, the colors are beautiful, and the best part is it lasts a very long time. I also love the color selection. They have almost every color you could think of!

  • CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

I wasn't really expecting very much out of this foundation, but I received it for free and figured I'd try it out, because getting things for free is fun! I've never been a huge fan of Covergirl foundations in the past, but I absolutely loved this one! It is supposed to act like a primer, foundation, and concealer in one, and I think it did a pretty good job of that. My skin looked more even and smooth than it's ever looked with any other foundation. The best part of this is that it lasts! My face, which is both sensitive and ridiculously oily, didn't get irritated OR really shiny while I was wearing this. I wore it for hours and hours and my face was still matte. The coverage might be a little heavy for some, but I really liked the look it gave me. I would recommend this to anyone who has normal or oily skin and wants medium coverage.

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for Sensitive Skin

Let me just start out by saying that my skin is really weird and finicky- I have oily, sensitive skin that is prone to both eczema and acne. Finding a moisturizer for daily use, especially in the winter, has been very difficult for me. I used the Clinique moisture lotion for a while, but it didn’t give me enough moisture for my dry patches. Then I discovered this little gem, and now it’s pretty much the only thing I use for a morning moisturizer. It doesn’t irritate my skin, doesn’t smell weird, and doesn’t leave my skin greasy or cause me to break out. It helps out with really dry patches without causing me to break out in the surrounding area. I’d recommend this to anyone who has combination skin and needs a light daily moisturizer. I’ve been using this for literally years and haven’t found anything better. It’s very comparable to Olay Complete for sensitive skin, but in my book, it’s just a bit better.

  • Secret Clinical Strength Sensitive Skin

This is really the only deodorant that works for me. I have sensitive skin, and I was using the non-sensitive skin version of this for awhile before I started getting a bad reaction to it. I switched over to this version, and it has been working very well for me so far. The itchiness is gone, but I'm still protected from my super sweaty skin.

  • L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Waterproof Mascara

I used the original formula way back in the day, so when I was looking for waterproof mascara for the summer I decided to give this a try. I was really disappointed with this formula! The first time I wore it, it smudged so badly underneath my eyes, even though I was wearing under eye concealer. Not only was it not water proof for me, it didn’t even last through a regular day! I tried it several more times, trying different tactics like wiping the brush to remove excess mascara, or applying it very sparingly to my bottom lashes, all with the same results. I don’t know if this is a result unique to me, because I have pretty greasy eyelids, but I was pretty alarmed, especially because I remember liking the original formula so much. It did seem to make my lashes look pretty good before it became all smudgey, but that didn’t last very long.
