  • Philosophy Amazing Grace Concentrated Perfume Oil

Soft and girly. Not loud or in-your-face. I find it to be a very comforting scent. I never feel like this fragrance is going to offend anyone. And it never fails to get 'You smell great' comments. It's not daring, just really nice. I REALLY love the body wash too!

  • Mary Kay TimeWise Repair Eye Renewal Cream

First I have to be transparent. I received this product for free in exchange for a review here on this website. My review is my own opinion and not based on the fact that it was given to me at no cost. The packaging is pretty. A lilac colored plastic tube with a metal cap. The applicator looks chrome but the literature calls it zamac metal. Claims it will "help stimulate microcirculation as it gently massages the under eye to help reduce puffiness and provide a fresh, cooling effect." It is cooling, at first. But it quickly warms up, so I find it difficult to believe it actually would help reduce puffy eyes due to this metal applicator. The applicator itself is wide, measuring 1/2 inch across. I found that it tended to pull at the skin a bit until the cream was spread out. There is just one hole in the center of the applicator tip for the cream to dispense. I have seen this type of tip used on other eye creams though this is the first product which sports this applicator type that I personally have tried. I have to say, it seems a bit gimmicky. I'd like to see some data on the "stimulating microcirculation" claims. Beyond the applicator, I found the cream itself to be on the greasy side and I have dry skin around my eyes. I would not use this during the day or when I would be wearing any eye makeup. Disastrous! Mascara massacre! It did make my undereyes look dewy and not dry, but once it was washed off, there was no lasting effect in regards to dryness. The product has a very very light fragrance which most people, myself included, appreciate in an eye cream. There is something in the cream that does make the areas where this is applied a bit sensitive. When I pat the product in with my fingertip the skin feels ever so slightly sore. I think I will continue to use the tube I received and see how it goes. TB is giving me a deadline to complete this review so this is how I feel about the product at the moment. Mary Kay website lists this product at $40. Way too steep. Maybe $30. Maybe. But I have an eye cream I adore and sells for less than this one. As I said, I will continue to use this every night and see if my opinion changes, but as of right now, I am not impressed.

  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

    Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

i am with the crowd on this one

UDPP is the sheet! eye shadow will not crease, travel, or disappear with this product on first. the bottle is cute, but odd. i am gonna give it a nine because it can be a bit drying to my lids. paula dorf makes a great shadow primer too that isn't drying. love them both!

  • Anastasia 5-Element Brow Kit

though i did get jacked on the price. stay away from "Product" in Tigard/Lake Oswego in Oregon. it's bad enough that their return policy bites...no refunds, store credit if product returned unused and unopened.... but back to the kit. i like it a lot. love the tweezers!! love the duo ended brush, the two colors of powder in one compact, love the brow gel too. haven't used the stencils but i like my brows as they are.

lots of money for this gloss

i actually sort of like the gloss, myself. the texture is not too goopy and feels nice on my lips. the color is sheer, but it is meant to be that way. the tip has a little brush at the end and you squeeze the tube to get the product to the brush rather than a wand you dip in the tube. i would probably buy more of them if there weren't so terribly overpriced. oh and i wish it had SPF.

  • Vincent Longo The Curl Mascara

    Vincent Longo The Curl Mascara

seems to do what i want from it.

okay, this is not the mascara you want if you are looking for huge full pitch black lashes. it's not the reason i bought it. i bought at the recommendation from the SA at Sephora when i told him that i was looking for a mascara that would not end up rubbing off on my eyelids. it is so embarrassing to go and look at myself in the mirror only to see these black 'halos' above my eyes. even the waterproof mascaras that i have bought (and given rave reviews that i need to see if i can change...mac splash lash, tarte lights, camera, splashes, i'm talking to you...) VL the curl is not a va va voom mascara. it runs a bit dry, but i think that is what is keeping it from transferring to my eyelids. the look is natural, great for daytime if a more subtle effect is appropriate for you. i don't know, i am happy with it so far and will definitely rebuy if it continues to stay on my lashes and not on my lids. as much $$ as i have spent trying to find a mascara that did not transfer, i will gladly pay 23 bucks . heck, the tarte mascara was 18 dollars
