$160 worth of buyers remorse
So we have all been there before... something that sounds so enticing that despite the price tag you pick it up and purchase it only to have the worse case of buyers remorse. In my case it was $160 worth of buyers remorse for a moisturizer! With such a high price tag, I was looking for drastic results! It promised to balance the moisture in my combination skin, but what I got instead was slight improvements in my oily zone and dry skin in my normal zone. I ended up having to mix it with a mass store moisturizer to help regain moisture to the normal zone. Not a completely horrible moisturizer, but certainly does not live up to the expectations of its price point or claimed benefits resulting in huge disappointment.

Love the blush in color "Two to Glow", hate the compact.
Every since I started wearing this I have gotten compliments on my skin. Its one of those high impact, but barely there essentials. The color is fresh, subtle, dewy and adds just enough highlight effect. Best benefit is that it totally brightens up my face, which is often dull from wasting my life away in office cubes, without the “oh no she looks orange†bronzer effect. While I love the blush itself, if you want to put more of one color on, it's super difficult. This sucks because I find that I like to put more of the matte color than shimmer. I also do not like the small amount of product for the matte color - I need more.

Why do we always love the bad guys?
I used St. Ives Apricot Scrub for years. I loved how my skin felt afterwards, it was soft, smooth and silky. About a year ago, my derm asked me about my facial regimen. I mentioned St. Ives scrub and she reco'd that I not use it because it may cut my skin due to the unevenness and different sizes of the apricot nuts. I was devastated. Not too long after, I noticed that St. Ives changed their formula to include uniform beads rather than the apricot nut pieces. I guess they heard the same advice as me. Still... I miss this stuff, if only for a body scrub. I love it, but got to trust my derm on this one.

Come on Aveda... work it out. You can do better.
So I LOVE my lip color and LOVE the feeling of the pencil on my lip. I am one of those girls that wear’s lip liner on my entire lip so this is important. It says on FOREVER. But I DO NOT LOVE that whenever I go to put it on my lips and they are not moist enough, the lip pencil crumbles on my lips. When this happens, and it's often, it’s messy and not to mention pricey (these pencils are not cheap). So what you have got here is a true LOVE HATE relationship. When it’s good it’s great. But, when it’s bad it’s really bad and super messy.

The little engine that could for around $5.00.
This liquid miracle has been in my bathroom vanity forever. I have tried so many cleansers, mass and high end, and have found this to be the perfect solution to my combination skin. It thoroughly cleanses and helps to maintain blemish free skin. It’s also a great base for a complete skin care regimen. Whenever I switch face wash inevitably break out resulting in a return to the tried and true Purpose. I am not sure if my face is just conditioned to it, but this face wash works better for me than anything else I have tried. I have even successfully converted two of my closest friends to this product and it is a must have for them as well. Don't be scared because of the price point or boring/generic packaging. This stuff works.

When the shampoo is combined with the conditioner, I do notice relatively dramatic results. It really does leave hair feeling smooth and soft, which is difficult for my unruly, coarse, curly hair. I could actually run my fingers through it! Haven't notice a huge visual improvement, but I rely more on my styling products for this given my hair type. This is a great product to add to any dry haired girl's beauty regimen, but don't skip out on the occasional deep conditioning treatment. I wouldn't use this as a deep conditioning replacement.

Oh so soft.
I do notice softer, less dry hair. It's a great shampoo that you know is not drying out your hair. I have curly hair so this is a huge concern of mine. When combined with the conditioner, the results are more dramatic. The texture of my hair is what I noticed the most with this shampoo. It really does leave hair feeling smooth and soft, which is difficult for my unruly hair. Didn't notice a huge visual improvement, but I rely more on my styling products for this.

Good job on the reformulation!
I used the original St. Ives Apricot Scrub for years until my derm informed me that the uneven nut particles were likely making small cuts on my face. While I would not notice them now, it could be responsible for broken capillaries in the future. I stopped using St. Ives until I stumbled across the new formula. The changed the nut particles to uniform beads. I love the exfoliation of the new formula and the price, which makes it a great (almost) everyday product. It doesn’t have the scrubbing power of its grandma, but it leaves a smooth and soft finish and I know that it’s safe.

This is a great moisturizer for ladies in their mid-twenties and below...
...as we really only need to worry about moisturizing. It adds tons of moisture without leaving a greasy or oily residue. It absorbs super quickly so on rushed mornings you can apply your foundation/powder soon after. I have super sensitive skin and it's never caused a break out or irritated my skin. As an added bonus, it's super cheap. All of this results in a great daily moisturizer. Don't be turned off by the generic or medicinal looking packaging. There's a shinning star hidden behind the bland packaging.

Keep on shinin'
MAC's Lacquer is definitely an improvement over it's lip glass. It doesn't have that oh so sticky texture that the lip glasses are known for, yet still produces a high shine and impact gloss. I have Poco Pink which is perfect for the summer - peachy pink with gold undertones. On sun kissed skin, it looks amazing!
