  • Michael Kors Eau de Parfum
    8.0

    Michael Kors Eau de Parfum

It's very nice in a Joan Collins Dynasty sorta way.

I love white florals and this has a gorgeous and heady blast of tuberose and gardenia. It is not a light smell at all. The finish is quite nice very warm and skin like. I can't make up my mind. Some days I enjoy the flowery warmth and sometimes I do feel like I'm in an 80's night time soap-shoulder pads and all.

  • Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Extra Strength Alpha Beta Peel

I bought the sample pack at Sephora and I really liked these and they improved the texture and appearance of my skin. They are too strong to use daily, I applied them three times a week. My pores looked smaller and I had no redness, dry patches, or irritation. This was surprising as usually my skin gets pretty touchy about chemical exfoliants. I would recommend getting the 5 application sample pack and seeing if it works for you.

  • Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer Cocoa Radiant

I give it several stars for convenience of use. It's nice to be able to put this on right after showering. I must agree with the other reviewer's; I have flooring instead of carpeting and nearly broke my leg after spraying with abandon. It absorbs easily, and works well in warmer weather. I don't believe it will be adequate for keeping dryness at bay during the winter months. Additionally, Rite Aid makes a generic version of this which is both cheaper and smells more beachy, less fake coco.

  • Lush Seanik Solid Shampoo

This is my favorite of the solid shampoos from Lush. As other reviewers have noted, the seaweed bits will not get lodged in your hair. What you will get is a fair bit of body, with no residue. Condition well after using as it can be slightly drying. Lasts forever, so is an excellent value for your money. I would suggest that if you store it in the metal shampoo tin that you leave the lid off. Makes it easier to remove when it isn't damp. A pleasant smell adds to appeal of this product.

  • Clinique Chubby Sticks Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm

I just received one of these in the Fuller Fig shade. It's fantastic. Feels like a lip balm. It's smooth and moisturizing and a huge plus, not the slightest bit sticky. The shade goes well with my light olive skin, natural, but a bit brighter. It's not very long lasting, but as a balm I do not expect it to be. It is not as dry as the Tarte sticks which I also like, The shade range in this line are quite flattering and not too sheer. I really like this.

  • China Glaze Nail Lacquer with Hardeners

Although Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes last longer on my nails, China Glaze is my favorite. They have a great range of colors and finishes, their glass fleck glitter/jelly combo is gorgeous. They last about 4-5 days on my nails and are of very good quality. This is my favorite beauty supply/online brand.

  • Zoya Nail Polish
    7.0

    Zoya Nail Polish

Decent polish, large selection of colors

I have bought several bottle of Zoya polish due to their buy 1 get 1 sales and facebook promos. They wear decently about 3 days. I have been told I can get longer wear by buying their basecoat, but I like my CND stickey too much to switch. A word about their colors: I would recommend checking the various nail blogs to get a clear idea of exactly what the shade/finish looks like. My monitor is quite accurate, but when I purchased Julianne I was disappointed to see it wasn't nearly as sparkly as the site's swatch made it look, Mimi is the better choice for a glittery purple. It's a good product, but for $7 dollars, I would wait for the sale.

  • Clarisonic Classic Sonic Skin Cleansing System

I received this as a birthday gift. I am 35 with combination skin and have been using Retin A. This did a great job cleansing my skin. However, I cannot stress enough, do not push the brush down on your face. Let the spinning take care of cleaning and do not apply pressure, After a week of use, I noted my forehead looked great, but my cheeks were irritated. I thought perhaps it was the Retin A, but it was me pressing down with the brush. Once I adjusted my technique the irritation subsided. My skin looks brighter and is definitely cleaner. I recommend it, though at $195 if I were buying I might try the less expensive Mia version first.

  • Lush American Cream
    9.0

    Lush American Cream

    Great for certain heads

When my hair was long, this did not provide enough conditioning. Having recently chopped it to chin length, I revisited it. It is now fantastic. Detangles well, doesn't leave a residue, and the smell-as noted by other reviewers is divine. Vanilla, strawberries, and a hint of something herbal. I love it. It makes your hair soft rather than silicone slick, which took some getting used to, but my hair looks and smells great. Worth the money if you have shorter or finer hair.

  • Rescue Beauty Lounge Nail Polish

I usually only get their polishes at the annual sale, but they are well worth it. I get almost a week of chip free wear and most of them apply in one coat. Bikini Bottom, a milky, light blue, jelly is my favorite. It goes on quite sheer, but four coats is worth the time and effort. It has a lovely squishy quality to it, that makes it unusual. Eighteen dollars is expensive, but for their unusual shades it is well worth it. An excellent, high quality product.
