  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara

Double wear Zero-Smudge looks natural on the lashes and remains relatively clump free even without struggling and zigzagging the wand. It holds curls decently and doesn't flake noticeably through a long day of wear.

  • L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara Black

L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara Black

Separation? Yes, Volume? With some work.

Voluminous Million Lashes has the potential to be a love-or-hate mascara depending on what you're looking for. The extremely thin, tightly packed bristles make separation a breeze. The thin formula makes sure there are minimal clumps, so lashes end up looking very clean and defined. I got one in blackest black in the waterproof version. On the first coat, it's not very "volumizing" as the name claims. But the great thing is, because it doesn't clump easily, you can keep going back and building up coats for thicker lashes. The waterproof version is also holds curls decently. I love the clean, well-separated yet defined look I get with Million Lashes and will probably repurchase when I run out.

  • Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter
    9.0

    Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter

    Will repurchase!

Well pigmented, great range of colours and just glossy enough. Because of the name, lip "butter", I was expecting a balm without much colour. But have to admit, I was impressed. I got one in the orangish colour, Tutti Frutti, and the pigmentation is great. Smells great, and a little bit of product dabbed on top of a lip concealer lasts a long time. I'm thinking of stocking up on the same colour or buying a peachy pink tone. The casing looks cute, too. You likely won't need to put gloss or balm over the lip colour since it's already so moisturizing.

  • C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve
    8.0

    C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve

    Great value for the product

The Rose Salve is a great value for 22g of solid balm that melts at the touch. It smells great, is moisturizing and can double as a gloss when put over (or under) lipstick. The lid states that you can use it for various parts of the face and dry areas of the body. I still dislike having to dip my fingers into the pot, but at least I can rub the leftover product into the back of my hand or into my cuticles without having to worry about the stickiness. The only gripe I have is the packaging. I loved the old tins, but the new and more colorfully designed tins have trouble staying closed. The lid doesn't grip the container properly, and falls open at the slightest shock. I wouldn't suggest keeping it in a loose bag with lots of room to jangle. I keep mine in a tight pocket in my makeup bag and that seems to do the trick. All in all, Rose Salve is a great product and I've already purchased 3 flavors - the apple, blueberry and the original.

  • L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Color Truth Cream Eyeliner

The product itself is highly pigmented and creamy. It doesn't dry out too easily unless you leave it open on your makeup counter too long. It's matte enough for you to create sharp edges, then set with powder. You can blur the edges for a smoky look as well. One word of advice - swap the brush for an angled one. It's very likely you'll dislike the tiny, coarse plastic number. Save yourself the trouble and ignore the brush that comes with the package. Take one of your angled brushes and enjoy.

  • Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick
    9.0

Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick

    Creamy, Pigmented, Moisturizing

True to its name, the lipstick lasts throughout the day. You will need to reapply after a meal, but the enough of the color lingers on lips after light snacks and drinks. The lipsticks are pigmented and have a light shimmer. The product literally glides on the lips. I fell in love with the smooth application, and the satiny texture it gives my lips. Another plus - I usually hate scented lipsticks, but I love the sweet, honey-like scent of this one. It has a satiny finish - not glossy, not matte. I'm not sure Lancome makes these any more, but I would definitely repurchase.

  • Estee Lauder Tender Blush

Blush is the beauty product I cannot forgo in the morning. I've tried it all - the powders, the tints and the creams but this one is definitely near the top of the list. Although Tender blush is a brush-on powder type, the staying powder is amazing. When buffed into skin on top of foundation, this product will last most of the day with, at most, one touch-up after lunch break. The colors are soft and buildable (unlike some creams or tints that stain the cheeks too much) and come in a range of hues for different skin tones and moods. It has a matte, satiny finish rather than a shimmery one. Tender blush comes with a small, yet convenient built-in mirror and brush that make touch-ups easy. The mirror stays moderately clean, if you don't mind brushing off excess powder every now and then - as with all powder products. The brush is of passable quality. It's not stiff or harsh, but it does have a flat shape to accommodate to the shape of the case. So if you have a fluffy, round brush you use in the mornings, go ahead and use that in the AM and save the flat brush in the packaging for midday touch-ups.

  • Lancome Color Fever Gloss
    7.0

    Lancome Color Fever Gloss

    Great Shine, So-So Color

While the color payoff isn't too great, it's got a smooth, glassy shine. I have the Dangerously Pink 321, which looks like hot magenta-pink with silver glitters in the tube. On the lips, it adds a little bit of color and moderate amount of glitter (By the way, that's glitter, not shimmer). While the word glitter may make some of us cringe, Color Fever's is a subtle, delicate glitter. I don't care for the light floral scent, but it's very slight and not obtrusive.

  • Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Washable Mascara

Smells awful, runs, flakes, and perfect for creating droopy lashes. This is capable of bringing down even the most perfectly curled lashes.

  • The Body Shop Watermelon Born Lippy Balm

Great fruity smell, smooth texture, cute design. What more can you ask for? Like any other lip balm, you have to reapply once in a while, but it feels very light on the lips - not oily. Its got a smooth jelly-like texture in the pot. I would repurchase for the smell alone.
