The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask

This is great to use once a week. It has kaolin clay and will calm stressed skin. If you don't use it in the shower, you will need to wipe it off with a washcloth. You can extend the warming feeling by patting your face with water.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser

This cleanser smells really good, like baby lotion. It is not very cleansing though. You have to use soap to get the makeup off, then use this as like as conditioner for your face. My kids love to use it to clean their face like mommy. The bottle is also too stiff and is hard to dispense.

The Body Shop Extra Virgin Minerals Compact Foundation

Makeup artist Lisa Aharon used this on me during the Body Shop roadshow. I hate liquids, so this is a happy medium for me. It comes with a brush, but you could use your fingers or a sponge too. It is weird how after you apply it, it seems more powdery. You need too set it with a translucent powder. It the summer heat it does melt a little, but it would be perfect in the winter. I'll save it till then.

  • Furlesse patches

    Furlesse patches

    Furlesse

I am no stranger to using patches to eliminate forehead wrinkles. Although the process is slower than Botox, it is a lot cheaper and there are no needles! The patches work by reinforcing the weak facial muscles back to their pre-wrinkle status. Furlesse patches are a welcome change to their predecessor, Frownies. Don't get me wrong, Frownies work, but they have a few negatives. They are not easy to apply, even harder to remove and they can be itchy, especially in dry climates. Furlesse patches are made of a clear, non-latex, self-adhesive plastic. They are easy to apply and remove. You can even wear them around the house without being embarrassed to answer the door. I actually prefer to wear them during the day, (normal use is at night) letting gravity do more of the work. It took me about one month of daily use to get rid of my wrinkles. You need to continue to wear them less frequently for maintenance. The cost is $12.95 for a 30 day supply.

  • imPRESS Press-On Manicure

ImPress Press-On Manicure (by Broadway Nails and the Kiss Company) is a lighter, thinner press-on artificial nail. To attach, clean the nail with the enclosed wipe, peel the backing form the inside of the nail and press on. They are easy to put on, but most of you will want to file or cut them down to a shorter length. To make them last as long as possible, cut your natural nails down first. If you don't, you are more likely to notice "lifting". I did not cut mine down, so after about 4 days that lifting sensation was bothering me. The package says they can last up to a week. They come in solid colors ($5.99) and dynamic prints ($7.99). You can print a $1 off coupon here. These are great when you just don't have time to do your nails or get a manicure. I also thought about putting a glitter nail polish over them and save myself the agony of taking it off my natural nails. I would definitely buy these again.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil

This body oil is great if you want to add and little color and shimmer without using self tanner. You can use it all over the body and it moisturizes as well. It smells a little like honeysuckle. and looks cool in the bottle. Made with fair trade community beeswax - helps support the bee community!

    Works like pantyhose

This stuff tightens your skin almost like when you put in pantyhose. I am not sure about long term results because I am not good at using something everyday. I can tell you that if you have an event to go to and want a little help, this will work. A little self tanner will help camouflage cellulite too.

  • Sally Hansen Lavender Spa Body Wax Hair Removal Kit

This wax kit was the worst. The wax in the little tube wouldn't come out until you heated it forever, then when it was cool enough to put on, it wouldn't spread at all. I pretty much had to start over with something else. I have really liked Sally Hansen's wax products in the past. It seems just when you like it, they discontinue it and bring on something worse. The best I have found is Anastasia's brow kit. At $12, it will give you about 5 good waxes.

  • Nars Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil

The texture of this lip pencil is good. I used a clear lip liner. It really is too dark for me, but it was used by Kristin Bauer (Pam) in TrueBlood which made me want. Just another cute product for the drawer!

  • Nars Blush

    Nars Blush

    NARS Orga#m Blush

I really like this blush, it has great staying power. I am going to try to mix it with a primer to make a blush/stain. If you look close you can see little gold flecks that may be off putting to some. The price is a little high - but nowadays unless you are in the drugstore, $30 is the going price for a blush. I also recommend you use a fan brush to apply it, otherwise it may look splotchy.
