InStyler Rotating Iron

I bought this for my very short hair. My hair is very flat but bushy and very dry. I use it to try and curl my hair. It does curl it, for about 5 minutes. As soon as I finish a section and let it go, the curl starts letting also. When I finish, I HAVE to use hair spray (which I don't like to use) or there won't be any curls left. It does leave my hair shiny though.
