Here are all my reviews:
  • Sephora Smart Dual Action Exfoliator

I think this is such a great concept. I like having the two different sides of this exfoliator. The white gel is an especially fine exfoliator. You can barely feel it buffing your face, so it is ideal for sensitive cheek areas and the like. Then comes the green gritty cream to attack the T-zone! You can feel an obvious difference in the texture. Even though the green side is much more heavy duty, it is still gentle. I love the clean, soothing smell of this product. As promised, it doesn't dry out skin. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but a nice personal indulgence.

  • Sephora Supreme Cleansing Foam

I like the smell and feel of this cleanser. Although the foam is very light and seems like it wouldn't be enough, it does get your face clean. I have relatively sensitive skin, and I found this cleanser to be gentle. It does not, however, remove makeup well at all. This will not win the battle against eye makeup, even though I don't use waterproof mascara. There are enough cleansers on the market that cost less and remove makeup for me to not think twice about never repurchasing.

  • Sephora Flawless Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15

Sephora Flawless Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15

    Flawless is an overstatement

I just cannot get behind this lotion. I think it is incredibly overpriced for under 2 ounces. It moisturizes decently and has SPF (yay!), but I don't think it's any better than my usual Olay Complete. This made me break out within the first day of use, I think due to the fragrance. If your skin isn't particularly sensitive to fragrance, this will be a better choice for you (it is a pleasant smell!). I will say that the "light-reflecting pigments" do not create an obvious shimmer, so no worries there. Still, I think you're better off with any number of drugstore lotions (Olay Complete, Neutrogena Oil-free Moisture, etc.).

    Sephora 4-Step Buffer

    Naturally great looking nails

What a convenient little tool! I had no idea nails could get this shiny and healthy looking just from buffing away. The four sides are labeled with numbers and their purpose, so even I knew how to use it. If you take a little time with this, even just once a week, your nails look impeccable. The polish side blew me away. With just a bit of time and effort, your nails will look like they have topcoat. Unlike topcoat, the nails won't get scratches or dull places from light abrasion. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who has a job that prohibits polish but wants their nails looking sharp and clean (nurses come to mind). Bonus: the file on this baby is safe for carry-ons, so it's great for travel. This is bulkier than your traditional nail file, but not unreasonable to throw in a purse. I personally find it more useful to keep at home for when you have 15 minutes to make sure your nails are in good shape.

  • Sephora Snag-Free Hair Elastics

For under $5, how can you lose? I use these hair ties when I'm working out because I can make a tight ponytail that absolutely will not move. I have what could fairly be called dirty blonde hair, and I love that the clear ones pretty much disappear. When I'm feeling slightly more ambitious than a regular ponytail, I do the old "wrap a strand of hair around the elastic" trick. Because these are so thin, they're easy to cover. They do stretch out over time, but they won't just snap on you. If you have thick hair, I would definitely recommend these, because they do not give up without a fight! I also like the packaging. I am, admittedly, a brown hair band on the wrist kind of girl (not exactly the most professional look). You can slip this little package in any purse pocket or even a wallet to always keep them with you. Best of all, while these are capable of pulling hair, if you take your time rolling them out there will be no snags or pain.

  • Sephora Instant Refreshing Toner

    Sephora Instant Refreshing Toner

    Great concept; good product

I don't use this toner as part of my daily face routine. I like to use it before going to the gym so I don't sweat the day's makeup into my pores, after going to the gym for any resulting sweat and grime, or occasionally on days I get home and my face feels a little gross but I don't feel like actually washing yet. It does refresh! I like how this livens up my skin after a long day. It has a very light, pleasant smell. What I like most about it is that it comes in a spray bottle. It strikes me as a convenient application technique that also doesn't waste cotton balls. It also just feels better to have a nice mist hit your face! I probably will not repurchase this as it doesn't seem to do much for my skin. This would be more suited for dry skin types. I do enjoy it, though, and think it is very reasonably priced.

  • Sephora Cuticle Care Pen
    7.0

    Sephora Cuticle Care Pen

    An acceptable "splurge"

This is a fun product to have around. I wouldn't call it a necessity, but it's useful and convenient. Most importantly, the oil does make a difference. It absorbs into the skin easily and instantly makes cuticles look nicer. Ease of application is a huge plus. The pen shape and the brush pen make it idiot-proof to apply the oil to either hand. I like the size (roughly the same as your average ballpoint pen). It can easily be thrown in a purse or carry on. The only thing that annoys me is that it can be difficult to tell if the product has made it to the brush. You twist the bottom, not realizing if it has come out until there's a large gob. Admittedly, I should have learned that by now. Just give a few clicks, brush it on your nails, and you'll quickly realize if the product is on. Burt's Bees Cuticle Creme is a comparative product but is more cost effective with a slightly messier application. I like this but don't love it.

  • Sephora Professionnel Bronzer Brush #44

This is a brush I truly feel was worth the money. I use it every day for contouring and it works perfectly. The brush head is large, dense, and fluffy. The bristles maintain their shape well but are incredibly soft and gentle on the skin. I wash my makeup brushes about once a week with baby shampoo and let them air dry. Shedding is minimal. It is very easy to control how much product this brush picks up just by varying the pressure applied to the palette. It does pick up product VERY easily, but once you get a feel for it, you should have no problems. The brush blends well. I have pale skin, winter or summer, so subtlety with my bronzer is important. I never have weird, obvious lines with this brush. Would I buy this brush again? Absolutely. But considering how well it has held up so far, I won't need to worry about that for years.

  • Sephora Super Shimmer Lip Gloss
    9.0

    Sephora Super Shimmer Lip Gloss

    Fun, reasonable gloss

This gloss comes in all different colors and finishes. I've found that, while still being sheer, the color difference between the glosses is distinguishable. They're sticky enough that they stay on for a respectable amount of time without capturing all of your hair on a windy day. I love how they all smell! Call me crazy, but these glosses smell exactly like Dr. Pepper. These are pretty basic as far as lipgloss goes, so the price is a bit high. I find that the range of shades available makes them much more desirable. I often find that when some shades are presumably being phased out, they retail for about half the normal price. Any time you notice a shade you like on sale, it is worth grabbing! The applicator tip is just your usual slanted tip with a hole in the middle. I've never had one of these crack or explode on me, so the packaging must be reasonably durable.

  • Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash

First off, I have only used Trader Joe's Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil, which has identical ingredients and formulation as the Desert Essence TC Face Wash. If you have oily skin, this is a fairly gentle face wash since it has so many carrier oils in it. If you have dry skin, be aware that tea tree oil reduces your oil production and can be incredibly drying. Tea tree oil also has antibacterial properties that combat acne. While I had clear skin through my teenage years, I've come to battle adult acne since I moved to the South. Tea tree oil is the only thing that has gotten it under control. If you are also battling stubborn acne and haven't tried tea tree oil, I cannot recommend it enough.
