  • Boots Expert Sensitive Cleansing & Toning Wipes

I bought these because my skin is incredibly sensitive to fragrance and these promised to be fragrance-free...and they actually are! They smell like absolutely nothing. They remove all of my makeup without trouble and, best of all, cause no irritation. I only use these for those nights I can't be bothered to really wash my face. When I wake up after using these, I have no surprise new breakouts or skin issues. Love these. Have already repurchased and will repurchase again.

  • L'Oreal Paris EverCrème Sulfate-Free Moisture System Cleansing Conditioner

No, this will not lather like shampoo, because it is sulfate-free. Although it's a thick formula, I don't have trouble working it through my scalp. You just have to rub it in and trust that it's cleaning. It is! I use a few pumps to rub into my scalp and roots, then a few more pumps to work through the rest of my hair. Then I detangle my hair and let it sit on while I clean, shave, etc. My hair always feels incredibly clean and light without being at all dried out after using this. The first time I used it, I noticed right away that my waves were forming really well, likely because this is hydrating without any weight. I was thrilled! I have had no problems with tangling or this not being a strong enough conditioner, even though my hair is naturally a little dry. My only complaint is that my ends aren't quite as conditioned as the rest of my hair, so I add a tiny bit of leave-in to the ends. It's worth noting that I am terrible at keeping up with regular trims, and at this time I haven't had a haircut in around 3 months. Bonus points for the locking top; just twist it and it locks (pretty ideal for travel). Only real complaint is the smell. It's just too strong. I liked it at first, but I can smell it on my hair until I wash it again. And not just if my hair gets blown in my face. The smell is lingering, emanating. I haven't had complaints from others, but it's enough to keep me from repurchasing. Gag. If they would reformulate with a less offensive fragrance, I would love this.

    Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser

Not strong enough for my skin

I wanted to like this face wash. It smells like apples, I like that it's a more natural product, and it rinses absolutely clean. I would say the willowbark extract in it did a decent job of keeping actual breakouts down. Unfortunately, my pores clog pretty easily, and this cleanser isn't strong enough to keep them clear. If your pores aren't really a problem, I would recommend this wash.

  • EOS Organic Lip Balm Smooth Sphere

I have tried this in Strawberry Sorbet and Sweet Mint. Both are delicious. Moisturizing ability is a bit above average but does require reapplying. The shape of the container doesn't bother me, but as they actual balm gets worn down and the sphere turns flat, it does get significantly more awkward to apply. I don't regret buying these, but they haven't converted me.

  • CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Concealer

If I thoroughly warm this up on the back of my hand, the consistency gets pretty smooth and applies easily. The pigmentation seems good for a drugstore concealer. I'm able to get adequate coverage for my under eye area. It does have a tendency to crease on me and wears off, so I will not repurchase. Might be better for those with dry skin types.

  • Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin

Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin

Great coverage but bad for my skin

First the pros: This is a long-wear foundation. At the end of the day, if I use a makeup remover wipe, I will see color come off. I have very fair skin and the lightest shade matches my skin perfectly. I recommend blending this with a damp makeup sponge. I'm amazed by the coverage! It makes my pores completely disappear. Now the cons: Even though I have oily skin, this foundation dries out my nose. Just my nose. The rest of my skin is fine with it, but my nose, one of the oiliest parts of my face, dries out to the point that it becomes flaky. What? Also, this clogs my pores something awful. Within days, I have double the blackheads. I have yet to find a foundation that doesn't clog my pores somewhat, so take my experience with a grain of salt, but it warrants a warning.

  • Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Shine Glossing Spray

When my hair is blown out straight, I spray this on my hands and then run them over the outer layer. When curly/wavy, I think it's better to just lightly mist over hair (if I use my hands, I always manage to dishevel the curls). Definitely adds shine, but minus one star because, like others have said, for some reason it is really, really easy to overdo it. I can't even figure out what amount will be too little or too much. It seems to change with each use. Don't know why it is so unpredictable, but that can be irritating. Also, this bottle says the product's hold level is "Strong" which is just silliness. This has no hold at all. It's just a shine spray, not a hair spray. Minus one star for blatant misrepresentation.

  • Aussie Sun-Touched Shine Shampoo

Great shampoo for the price! It lathers a LOT and I have noticed that my hair is shinier (I've been using the corresponding conditioner as well). The best thing about this shampoo is the smell! It is just citrusy wonderfulness (pretend those are words). It leaves the entire bathroom smelling great and, of course, your hair!

  • Sephora Illuminating Bronzing Oil

This bronzing oil looks great even on my pasty legs. While this can be used all over, and I have used it on my shoulders and arms, I generally use this just to liven up my legs. The oil and shimmer separate quickly so you have to keep on shaking this thing. I like how it makes legs just a tiny bit richer looking, but it doesn't look fake or noticeable. Be aware that it is shimmery. It's not to the point of being glittery, but there may be certain social situations where it could seem inappropriate. Of course, the shimmer is what gives legs a nice sheen and a more even tone! My only complaints are that it has a bit weird of a smell and takes a while to absorb. The scent doesn't really go away, but it does fade so that it won't overpower lotion or perfume. Since a fine shimmer lends this its color and not dye, I've had no problems with staining clothes or furniture.

  • Sephora Manicure Kit
    6.0

    Sephora Manicure Kit

    Good for travel

This is a nice kit. I really like the packaging. The black case is magnetized to keep shut and has a little handle. All of the tools are stored upright in personal "sleeves." The nail clippers are a bit small but they work fine. There is a flip out tool that contains a nail file, nail scoop, and nail cleaner (says Sephora's website). I think I have been confusing the scoop with a cuticle pusher, but it works, so who cares? The provided nail file is usable but nothing spectacular. The tweezers are sturdy and nice but won't replace my fantastic slant Tweezermans. From this kit, I mainly use the small scissor to trim my brows and the cuticle nippers to remove dead skin. I like how easy it is for travel, but I'm not convinced the tools are anything better than you could find in any other manicure kit for a lower price.
