    E.L.F. Luscious Liquid Lipstick

    Not a lipstick, a GLOSS!

Just to clear something up...this product is a gloss. It applies like a gloss. It is sticky like a gloss. It is a gloss. I hate the packaging for these types of lipglosses...its a waste of packaging and really annoying! Anyway, so I'll expand a little more on the packaging. Its a fairly long tube that you twist up. The gloss is squeezed up through a doe foot applicator with little holes in it. I don't like this type of lipgloss, but whatever. Now onto the product. It gives you a LOT of pigmentation and color, more than you would expect. Its like you combined your lipstick and gloss step...which is conventient! When I do wear this, I don't even twist it up because the color is so intense that you'll look like a maniac if you smother it on. This product is great for working women who can't be bothered to apply lipstick, which smudges away easily, or lipgloss, which can look juevenile. Its a great product from the greatest brand on Earth :)

  • E.L.F. Studio Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

E.L.F. Studio Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

Like it, love it, extremly enjoy it, whatever. This product is beast :)

ELF never ceases to amaze me. As always, I'll talk about the packaging first. This concealer comes with a sleek, sturdy package with a slightly velvety finish. The concealers unscrew easily, reveal doe foot applicators. The one for the highligher is hot pink and the one for the concealer is tan. My only problem with the applicators is that they apply a TON of product. You really have to scrape the applicator on the side of the tube to get a nice looking, non-cakey finish. Now onto the product! When I put the highlighter (which can also be used as an eyeshadow base) over my eye, it makes my eyelid look a very non-opaque white. Nothing too obvious, just something that I noticed :) I guess its the light reflecting pigments in it. Anyway, the concealer does a nice job of hiding my blemishes, which is all you could ever want in a concealer! This item is especially great for slipping into your bag for later touchups (which you won't need because of its longlasting power!) because it has both a concealer and an highter. I supose you could blend the highligher on your cheekbones, too. But the specific use of this stuff is for your undereyes. Anyway, this product isn't my favorite from ELF but its a valuble addition to my ever growing makeup collection.

  • E.L.F. Studio Concealer Pencil & Brush

I bought this, but gave it to my mom because she needed a new concealer! But that didn't stop me from trying it out :) A few things they don't tell you (but they should!): Clinique has a much pricier version of this! Get the ELF one, its way cheaper :) And, it has salicyilic acid in it, which will over time help clear up your blemishes! How fun! Okay so onto the packaging! This sturdy double ended stick has a concealer on one end and a nice brush on the other. The sleek, black cap to the concealer brush matches the sleek stick. The cap to the concealer itself has a built in sharpener which gets a little dirty, but overall is really useful! The caps slide on and off easily, which is a problem I've had with higher end brands, like Estee Lauder. Its great that you can find such a great (and seemingly obvious) perk in a cheap brand! (BTW this only costs 3 bucks!) Anyway, onto the product itself. This creamy concealer really does hide my blemishes! The stick is so creamy and gives me super awesome coverage! The concealer brush on the end works really well for blending the concealer, which means that I don't have to rub my dirty hands all over my face just to get the concealer to blend! Yayy :) I totally love/recommend/ this product! I regret giving it to my mom but for $3, it won't kill me to re-purchase it :)

  • E.L.F. Essential Shimmering Facial Whip

I love how this product isn't limited to one part of the face (or body!) You can use it on your lips, eyes, face, mix it into body lotion, whatever! Okay, first I'll describe the packaging. It is very small, which is misleading, unfortunatly. It is about the size of a bottle of nail polish (heigh wise). If you'd like to see how big it is, go check out some Youtube reviews. The squeazy tube is made of a very flexible plastic, which I like. The cap screws off and reveals a spout with a hole on the end where the product comes squeazing out. I use mine as a nice highlighter for my cheaks, but there are also many other usages. I use less than half of a pea sized amount and I get really nice looking shimmery cheaks! Mine is in a more nude color, so I don't use it on my eyes or lips. I've found its too frosty to use on my lips (mine is in lilac petal). There is color payoff, though. Oh, and it smells GREAT! I LOVE the smell. Its not strong, its just an added bonus. I definatly recomend this product!

E.L.F. Essential Super Glossy Lip Shine

    Love, love, LOVE LOVE LOVE

You simply can't go wrong with ELF. You never have to worry about a product being bad because its so cheap, and ELF SIMPLY DOES NOT HAVE "BAD" PRODUCTS! First, I'll talk about the packaging. It comes in a little squeazy tube. The plastic is really flimsy and squishy and flexible, which I like! It makes it easy to squaze. The cap screws off and reveals an angled tip which allows you to squeeze product onto your lips and blend it onto your lips at the same time. The tube is sleek and fits nicely into a purse pocket or makeup bag. Okay, so onto the product! I have this in a pinky color and a clear color. The pinky color has spf 15, which is a major plus! Its not particularly moisturizing or anything, but it gives your lips a nice, glossy shine. The product itself has a little bit of a scent, which I don't mind because it smells good. But if you're the type of person who can't stand a smell, then these may not be for you. The gloss isn't super sticky or anything, which I like. Overall, its an amazing product. If you're looking for a few new glosses to change up your look or to take you from season to season, the ELF is the brand for you. They can change lipstick into a completely new look! You can also mix them together to create your own, inexpensive, unique lip color. How fun! And for only a buck, I can rest assured that I won't be hurting my wallet.

  • E.L.F. Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush

E.L.F. Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush

Does what it says, but not my favorite

ELF is one of my favorite brands...whats not to love? They have a $1 line, a $2 line, a $3 line, and a mineral line, all for very cheap. This particular brush is from the $1 line, and isn't as good as its $3 counterparts. I'll start out by talking about the packaging: If you buy it online, it comes with a little plastic brush cover (not the plastic bag it comes in, but the thing that goes around the bristles). I like to keep these because they help the brush maintain its shape. Anyway, if you get it from Big Lots or any other place that sells ELF, it comes with a clarifying powder (the total package costs about $2, depending on the Big Lots). It comes with a sturdy, plastic handle with "E.L.F. Profesional Bronzing Brush" (say that 10 times fast!) embossed on the side. The handle is nice and long, which is great for easy application. The bristles, which aren't as fluffy as they are portrayed on the website, are burgundy, but that color fades after the first wash. Over all, the brush looks profesional. Now onto the brush itself. I've tried two of them, one I got online and the other I got with a clarifying powder at Big Lots. Both are super scratchy and have a medium density. I really like this brush for blending out cream blushes or simply blending a blush that I applied to much of. It works great for that particular use. Its also the perfect shaped brush for contouring. So, if you'd like a blending, blush, and bronzer brush, this is a great brush for you. It does what it claims to do but it simply isn't soft. Its not the worst brush ever, and for a $1, why not try it? But if you're looking for extremly soft brushes that are cheap, check out ELF's Studio Line or Coastal Scents.

  • E.L.F. Studio Eye Primer & Liner Sealer

Its really convenient to have a liner sealer and a primer in one thing that I can just throw in my makeup bag! Urban Decay has a much pricier version of a liner sealer! The primer works really well. It is very creamy and a little goes a long way. If you are uncomfortable with the stick form, you can use your blowdryer and melt it down into a .5mg pot and use your finger to apply it! Elf is a very great brand, and their studio line is amazing...I'm not going to say "amazing for the prize" because it is in general, amazing. With or without the price! The packaging is very, very sturdy! It fits nicely into any makeup bag or compartment. The caps stay on really well.

  • Conair Gel Grips Hair Dryer

This is just your 'ol average hair dryer. I got it free (*cheer*) at Walmart. It doesn't do very good on my hair, it makes my hair frizzy and split-endy...a job that even a Chi won't be able to fix. I know its not my hair's fault (c'mon, I get my hair done at the salon...I KNOW that all blow dryers aren't crappy.) The grips on the handle are cool, but not a neccessity in a blow dry. I especially like how it has a 'cool' button...When you click it, it blasts cool air on your face. This is especially helpful because the blow dryer gets really hot and takes forever to do the job. (Hot air on face + really long period of time = no fun!) The attatchable piece that is for blowing your hair straight really doesn't work.

  • Secret Flawless Renewal Touch with Olay

The deodorate worked okay as a deodorant/antipersperant and, as all Secret deodorants do, smelled amazing. But I bought it because it is supposed to remove shaving burn or whatever its called...well, it didn't. It didn't really soothe my skin or anything. I'm desperate for something that will soothe my constantly red and bumpy from shaving too close underarms, and this DIDN'T do the trick. But because it works well as a deodorant and smells great, I'm fine with it and I will continue using it.
