  • Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow

Other cream shadows are better but you can't beat the drugstore price! This products lost a few stars because it is a little sticky(which makes it hard to blend), it makes me eyeshadow go patchy if I apply thickly enough for the color to show up, and it still does crease if I don't apply powder products over it and even if I use a primer. That being said I have EXTREMELY oily eyelids so these may work just fine on their own for other people. However, I do like these as a base for eyeshadow if I apply them thinly. They help a more powdery less pigmented shadow to stick(preventing fallout)and show up better. And If I want to wear one as an all over wash I still can but I have to set it with my translucent face powder. I do still find that these apply a little patchy. Also, they are very inconsistent. While one shade is pigmented the next is sheer. However I still use these a lot. It helps it you work with it quickly before it sets and only apply a little at a time in a very thin layer. Give one a shot!

    Nivea Lip Butter Kiss Tin

    Smells delicious!

I have this in the raspberry rose kiss. It smells sweet and fruity like gummy raspberry candies. It has no flavor, though. I find that a little disappointing. But you get a very generous amount 0(point)59 oz or for those using the metric system 16(point)7g. It is slightly sticky due to the high concentration of shea butter but it keeps your lips really soft and protected. I just wish it had some sun protection in it. But from what I understand shea butter naturally has an SPF of 30. The lid seals on nice and tightly so I wouldn't worry about letting it roll around in your purse. It goes on in a nice thin layer and gives no color but really moisturizes your lips.

  • Milani The Multitasker Face Powder

I am picky when it comes to powders. I don't want it to make me look too matte but I want it to control oil. I don't want it to settle into fine lines and I certainly don't want it to stick onto my little peach fuzz hairs. I must say that I really enjoy this powder. It is very smooth and silky. Finely milled and soft. It controls my oils very well needing only one quick blot halfway through the day. It sets my makeup beautifully even under my eyes without settling majorly into my fine expression lines. It has a very light floral scent. The packaging is a bit bulky but it's only $5. I wish they would make it a simple powder compact with a mirror and forget the useless powder puff that comes with it. As to all of the people saying that it isn't a foundation....It isn't a foundation. It's a setting/blotting powder. Not a powder foundation. It offers coverage that can be built up to medium easily and really helps to make your face look flawless. I would say beware of using a synthetic brush with it because it seems to seal the product. And, always make sure to use a clean brush or it will seal very easily since it is so finely milled. I have it in the shade 02 and it matches my NC20 skin PERFECTLY. It's definitely a must try.

  • Maybelline New York Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer

I searched everywhere to find this. Even in the towns adjacent to my own. I could not find it anywhere. I began to wonder if it had been discontinued so I e-mailed Maybelline about it. It is still being sold but the shade range has now been reduced from 7 down to only 3. So after some research and reading many Blog posts I found the shade that works for me is the lightest one Cream. I have NC20 skin in MAC. Since I couldn't find it where I live I ended up ordering it off of Ebay. It was less than $5 with free shipping. So, the price was already a win for me. It was well worth the wait. I had heard that this was a dupe for the MAC select moisture cover which I have been wanting to try but not wanting to shell out $18 dollars for. I still have not tried the one by MAC so I can't tell you how it compares but it is VERY hydrating. I can't use it under my eyes even set with a powder because it is so emollient and slick. So this would be great for people who have dry under eyes which I know many people struggle with. Also FYI more shades than the 3 now sold in stores are available on Ebay. I love the doe foot applicator this has. It's very precise. I like to use this on any dry red patches or over any blemishes that are healing(you girls know how they get all flaky and dry because of the spot treatments). This does not accentuate dryness. It has a light scent but nothing bothersome or irritating. It stays put well with a powder and doesn't make my blush stick to it if I use it on my cheeks. This has a medium coverage but you can build it up to full. This does not oxidize on me either(I have combination skin). I find that this lasts all day but blends nicely if you want to touch up even over a powder. I recommend you check this one out. I really like it. Very oily skins may not like this. Dry skins will fall in love. It's so worth trying!

  • Maybelline New York Fit Me! Foundation
    5.0

Maybelline New York Fit Me! Foundation

I Have A Big Issue With This

Literally all 6 of the light shades are either pink or neutral. I had to get the lightest shade 110 and mix it with the medium shade 210 to get a yellow toned match for my NC20 skin tone. That's not okay. A $5 foundation find is only good if you don't have to buy two and mix them to get your shade. Might as well just get one shade of something else that actually matches. I have never actually even met anyone with light skin that has pink tones. Never. Their neck and chest are ALWAYS yellow. In my opinion your face only looks pink because the skin on your face is thinner and more easily irritated by the environment. So the blood shows through more than on the rest of your body. And what do you get when you mix red with a light cream color? That's right. Pink. So that really annoys me. To me pink toned foundations accentuate redness and make your skin look irritated. So, that's always attractive. The packaging is also awful. Seriously? Why don't all foundations come with a pump? Especially very runny ones like this. It makes dispensing the product easier. It makes it more sanitary. And, let's face it, it makes life easier. Plus the UK, Germany, and Sweden released this with a pump. So that hurts my feelings a bit. This foundation has no noticeable scent which I like. Very unlikely to make you break out. I took a 3 hour nap in this and didn't break out. I actually like the light coverage this gives. It dries to a satin sort of semi-gloss finish and doesn't oxidize at all on me(I have oily/combo skin). But you have to have decent skin to get away with this one. It doesn't cover much and it's not buildable. I would call this a definite light coverage. This will transfer badly if you do not set it with some type of powder. As far as how people are saying this doesn't last all day...Well, it's not designed to. This is not a long-wearing foundation nor does it make any claims to be. On me it lasts pretty well, though. 6 hours before I need to blot and powder my nose. I use the Rimmel Pro Primer underneath, and I like to set it with the Milani Multitasker Powder. My husband even said that it looked like I wasn't wearing foundation. I like the amount of coverage this gives and the finish it leaves. I hate the packaging and the light shade range. But nothing a color adjuster and a pump from another product you don't use can't fix. This isn't my favorite. It's okay, though. A good one to have for lazy days because blending it takes no effort and it doesn't look cakey ever. Give this a shot if you have a decent complexion and like a natural finish but be sure to use a primer underneath and to top it with a powder of some kind. Just beware that if you are anywhere near an NC10-NC30 you may need to mix two shades or use a yellow color adjuster like the one by Kett.

  • L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara

This does almost everything I want a mascara to. It is super dark and black on the lashes. It builds tons of clump free volume without feeling heavy. It holds a curl nicely. It defines and separates my lashes. However, It smudges on me. Pretty badly under the lower lashes. I tried the waterproof version to fix this and it didn't smudge but it was dang near impossible to remove! I even tried using straight mineral oil to remove it because I was so desperate and it didn't move. I had to scrape it off with a nail onto my fingertip. I had such a hard time that I never used that version again. My skin is becoming drier as I get older, though. So maybe the original won't smudge now. I love the dense brush. Reminds me of Prestige My Blackest Lashes but better. This one leaves my lashes really soft and flexible and it's washable! Great mascara for the price.

  • Olay Night of Olay Firming Cream
    9.0

Olay Night of Olay Firming Cream

Makes my skin nice and plump

This kind of smells funny. A bit powdery like a perfume you'd expect your grandmother to be wearing. But, it really does a great job of holding in moisture leaving you with firmer, more hydrated skin. I feel like this reduced the fine lines under my eyes and it made my skin very soft. It didn't break me out either and it really helped to balance my skins PH to make it not oily or flaky. It's quite affordable too. I just wish it came in a squeeze tube instead so it would be more sanitary. It sinks in nicely and doesn't leave your face feeling overly greasy. I'd give it a try.

  • Jordana Cosmetics Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara

I liked the brush on this and the price. It was only $2.99 at my local Walgreens. However, I find that the formula is not very volumizing for something that is marketed as such. It does lengthen but I find it a bit to sticky so it makes my lashes look sparse and clumpy with weird little knobs at the ends. It is very black, though. I did also find that it makes my lashes really hard and crispy which is probably not the best for them. But for the affordable price and in a pinch it's doable. I just wish it would have given me a little more separation. However, it does hold a curl very well. Not as good as my CG Lash Blast Volume which is my HG and gives me curl, volume, and definition. But, it's okay.

  • N.Y.C. New York Color Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder

This is a great product and it's so cheap! The color is not too orange and not too pink. It's great for adding some all over color or adding some dimension with contouring. There is no strong scent. the pigmentation is average. Not too pigmented to were you have to just barely tap your brush in it but not sheer so that you'd have to swirl your brush forever to get any color payoff. I really do like this. I it's affordable and easy to blend and doesn't break me out. Sometimes I just it to blend out my crease color. I think everyone should try this. It may not work for very deep skin tones, though. i do wish it was just a tiny bit softer, though. It can be hard to get enough on the brush sometimes.

  • NYX Cosmetics NYX Lip Gloss with Mega Shine

I'm not such a huge gloss wearer anymore now that I am married(the husband doesn't like slippery kisses)but, when I do wear gloss these are the ones I reach for. These glosses are so affordable. I get mine on cherryculture(dot)com and they are even cheaper there since they are often discounted and they offer free shipping on larger orders. I like how they are very comfortable to wear(not sticky at ALL). They even wear off nicely after a few hours without leaving that weird ring around the inside of your lips or just wearing off in the corners. They don't feather at all but they are nice and hydrating and moisturizing. They are great on their own or to top off a lipstick or liner. I find that the opacity is a bit inconsistent but I even like that because some days I want a sheer gloss and other days I want an opaque shine over a bold lip color. And, these are very versatile in that way. Their shade range is very extensive. You can get everything from hot pink and orange to black and plain old clear. Their shimmer is fine and not gritty on the lips as some other brands can be. There are some purely cream shades too. The only thing that puts me off is that they have a strong lingering scent of cherry(and I don't like cherry)but some people like that scent. The doe foot applicator is bent back a little and longer than usual which makes application a cinch. These are super creamy and feel very luxurious on the lips. I can definitely get past the smell for the quality of this product. I just wish that they were sold in more drugstores in the states. I'll have to place another order soon. These are comparable or even better than some high end glosses. I highly recommend these.
