  • Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

i love this product. ever since i've been using this in december, i stopped having break outs. and after i do pop a zit it heals within about a day or 2. i have very smooth and healthy looking skin now. it really changed my skin and did wonders for me. the only thing is that it's too expensive. luckily, i got mine for free at nordstroms when they were handing it out last december, but i would NOT buy this product after i finish using mine, even though i love it. it's wayyyy over-priced for the amount you get. i would rate the serum a 10, but because of the price, i'd give it a 9.

  • Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Liquid Foundation

i was really dissapointed with this foundation. it didn't cover well, looked cakey on me, didn't spread well (especially with the sponge applicator thing on top), accentuated the bumps on my face, and broke me out a bit. i have sensitive, oily skin and it just didnt work for me at all. it was hard to find a match to my skin tone too and i just had to return it. for me, i would not recommend it and i really didn't like it.

  • L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Shocking Shadow Pigments

the colors are beautiful and really did shock me when i first put it on! it had great color payoff and looked very vibrant. the product itself if great, but i don't like the packaging of the little container. i either get too much out or too little. and truthfully, i think it's really pricey for the teeny amount you get, also considering that it's only a drugstore brand. the brush sucks too, but over-all, it's one of the BEST drugstore brand eyeshadows you can get.

  • Korres Natural Products Lip Liner Pencil

i have this in brown orange, and surprisingly, i actually like the color. it's literally looks like a brown orange color when you swatch it, but when you put it on your lips, it looks like a beautiful rosey/coral color and doesn't make your lips look either orange or brown. i love how korres is a natural line and their cosmetics are good for you. it says it's 100% natural base with herbs and vitamins. it's free of mineral oil, silicones, and propylene glycol. it's made of cedar wood, so it's easy to sharpen. it is glides on extremely smoothly and softly on your lips and is moisturizing, unlike some other lip liners i've tried. it is so smooth that i can even blend it out with my finger and it gives my lips a nice, natural color. i would definetly continue buying and trying more colors. highly recommend it if you're looking for a good lip liner

  • Korres Natural Products Eyeliner Pencil

i have the korres soft eyeliner pencil in black and am loving it. it is SO soft and smooth, and it literally glides on to your lids and you do not have to pull and tug or layer it just to get a dark line. it's very pigmented (one swipe and you're good). i also noticed that it has an extremely subtle metallic look to it. it's easy to smudge, which is nice, but i wouldn't apply it to the waterline, as it would come off very easily, so i use it to line the upper lashline (tip: i find that the urban decay 24/7 eyeliner works best on the water line cuz the staying power is better and doesn't smudge). it is pretty long-lasting, but to really ensure that it won't smudge, i like to put a black eyeshadow on top of it. and it stays on all day long and looks fantastic. i will definetly continue buying this eyeliner and i do recommend it, but because i can't really use it on the water line or lower lashes, i'm giving it a 9.

  • Korres Lip Butter
    8.0

    Korres Lip Butter

great lip balm but works like any other

i have mine in jasmine. it feels extremely buttery on the lips, has a nice caramel-y scent to it, and is very moisturizing. it's not very pigmented but give me a nice tint to my lips, and maybe a very subtle hint of color (nude pink). when i put it on before i sleep i wake up the next morning with super plump and smooth lips. the thing is that every kind of lip balm does that for me, and though i find it moisturizing, i don't find it particularly more moisturizing than other lip balm or anything. it's more expensive than it should be. i've only been using it for the past 2 days and i already have a decent sized dent in the middle (i only use it at night too), so i know for sure that it's going to be finished up very quickly. i honestly think it's a little too hyped up. a lot of the cheap lip balms and chapsticks from the drugstore work just the same. it's just that the korres lip butter has color to it, smells unique, and comes in a cute, attractive packaging. it's not a must have product, but it's nice to have if you have extra cash to spend, and it does work very well.

  • Korres Natural Products Lemon Lip Scrub

i bought this in the naked love your lips kit, intending mainly to buy the lip butter and the two lip glosses for myself and give the lip scrub to my boyfriend since he has super dry lips. i actually doubted this lip scrub when i first got it because i thought oh wutever a toothbrush and the blistex lip scrub does the same thing. but i gave it a try, and it surprised me. i rubbed it on my lips then took my finger and scrubbed it around, and it feels like micro-crystals, except are not harsh at all. the ultimate test: i gave it to my boyfriend to try. at first he scrunched his face and was like "babe this looks like a friggin lipstick! i can't be seen using this!" but i made him use it, and literally, all the flakies (believe me, he has SUPER DUPER cracky lips!) went away! he loved it and was like "ok thanks babe, i'm gonna keep it." =D i can say it works BETTER than a toothbrush or blistex lip scrub cuz his lips stayed soft all day and i had honestly never seen his lips so smooth like that before. i'm so glad i bought it. yay to super soft kissable lips!! =)

  • MAC Paint Pot
    3.0

    MAC Paint Pot

    i don't believe the hype

i had this in the color "painterly," and i wasn't impressed with it. it CREASED like crazy on my eyelids after only about 2 or 3 hours and doesn't particularly help my eyeshadows appear more vibrant or intense. it felt that it had a slight pinkish undertone to it, which i don't like on my yellow undertoned skin. it looks heavy on my lids and very fake and cakey. it's not easy to blend out (the urban decay primer potion blends so smoothly). instead, what works for me is using the revlon age defying moisturizing concealer and urban decay primer potion on top. for me, it works better than using the paintpot. never gonna buy a paintpot again

  • Tarte Lash Hugger
    5.0

    Tarte Lash Hugger

    ok, not the best

i didn't think there was anything particularly special about this mascara. it does an ok job of lengthening, volumizing, and holding curls, doesn't flake, but there's nothing really great about this mascara. when i was using previous mascaras, my boyfriend would say, "holy cow babe your eyelashes are so long u should trim them!" and after i started using this mascara he said "hey babe you don't have much eyelashes." (he's such a wonderful bf, and he helps me determine wats good and wats not w/my makeup all the time) one coat doesn't look like anything, so i have to use 2 or 3 coats, which somewhat separates my lashes sometimes (depending on how i curled my eyelashes), but a lot of times it would clump 3 or 4 eyelashes together. the wand is actually really big and i always get a little bit of mascara on my eyeshadow. i like the alunimum packaging though, that it's healthy for you, and it does have a lot of product in it. wouldn't buy it again though

  • Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

originally i had a bad review for this, but after mastering how to use it, i got a crap load of blackheads off my nose. it's really hard to squeeze out blackheads on your nose and can be very painful, so this makes it so much more faster, efficient, and easier. it takes out everything from the smallest to the biggest blackheads. it doesn't take out every single blackhead though, but about 1/2 or 2/3 of all the blackheads on my nose. the whole box lasts pretty long cuz i only use one about once or twice a month, so it's a pretty good investment. make sure that you follow the instructions exactly, and also add more water to the top of the strip after it's on your nose until you see the papier-mache melting (i find that if you don't do this it won't pull anything out). maybe leave it on for 15 or 20 mins just to be safe it fully dries before peeling
