Worst mascara ever
I have been using another brand of mascara since high school and when I deviate from it, I'm always disappointed. So I should have known better. But I'm trying in earnest to use products not tested on animals, and my old mascara isn't animal-friendly. Well, this mascara isn't ME friendly. It does nothing at all to plump my lashes. After 4 coats I still look like I have wimpy lashes...which I don't, they're just light. The brush is too big; this stuff clumps something fierce and it doesn't even stay on. By the end of my shift I have raccoon eyes. Pass in this one. Try one of the many other (better) animal-friendly products out there.

I purchased this product simply because of the reviews on this site. I have oily skin and none of the face lotions that work for my skin have an SPF in them, so I figured it was time to buy something for my very fair skin. I think it's pretty safe to say that, if you have oily skin, you should NOT use this along with another moisturizer. You're only asking for your skin to break out. Having figured that out the hard way, I opted to use it under my makeup and, though I dusted with loose powder, it was so greasy that my makeup was basically either sliding all over my face or worn off in a few hours. And it's not like I wear a ton either; it's summer, for crying out loud. But I want to look nice and fresh, not like a grease ball! And that's another thing--even though I didn't wear another lotion along with this, I still find that I am breaking out. I don't think that it's from the actual SPF ingredients which can be a little harsh on my skin. This formula really is pretty gentle and lasts a while, so that's why I'm giving it three stars and not just one. I guess I'll have to just use it on my hands and arms from now on because I can't tolerate my face being that greasy.

This foundation is great. It's thick like a mousse, but not too heavy. It has great coverage, but isn't cakey. I can't think of any negatives except that, maybe, it could have a little *more* coverage, but then I think it would make you look too heavy and made-up.

Great inexpensive scrub
I always have the big tub of this in the shower. I just like to use it as a great, inexpensive scrub for elbows, hands, feet, knees, or all over. I've used it as preparation before putting on a self tanner and it worked very well for that. It's awesome with a foot file if you want to do your own home pedi as well. Yes, it's a bit harsh to use on the face (though I'll admit that I've been using it on and off since I was a teenager and, at 33, I think my skin looks pretty good). In any case, at what? $3.50 for the big jar, even if you're just using on your feet, etc, you can't go wrong.

NICE winter lotion
I live in the Midwest and have sensitive skin that gets VERY dry and itchy in the winter. On top of that, I work in a hospital (which is a dry environment) and wash my hands a million times a night. I purchased this lotion after I noticed that some of our patients were using it for their dry skin. It is a very thick, rich cream and it works really well for me. I love that it's fragrance free and I just LOVE how my skin feels after I put it on. Yes, my skin feels a little oily for a bit but the second ingredient is mineral oil; you just have to let it sink into your skin for a minute. I do feel it's a bit expensive (I don't think it's as "watered down" as some less expensive lotions) so I don't buy it unless it's on sale. Also, I don't think it's a lotion I'll use in the summer; it's too rich. But it's pretty wonderful for winter skin or if you have super dry skin any time of the year.

Love it as much as the original
I've been using the Loreal Voluminous line since high school (and I'm not tellin' how long that is but it's a looong time). This latest incarnation of the mascara is just as good, if not better. What I like about this one is the brush--it just coats every lash and gives my lashes that extra oomph! factor. What I will say is that you HAVE to allow it to dry a little between coats for the best effect or yes, it will be more likely to clump on you, and it just won't be as nice as it could be. I get compliments on my lashes a lot, so I figure this Voluminous line has been working well for me so far!

Pretty good for me
It seems that, as soon as I hit 28, I started going through a second puberty. All of a sudden my once-clear skin turned into the skin of a 14 year old boy. The problem is that, while I went from dry skin to very oily, acne-prone skin, I also have the pale, sensitive skin of a redhead. It's pretty easy for products to dry my skin out and tear it up, which many acne-fighting products do. If I go too mild though, then I don't get rid of acne. ARGH! This one is great. It keeps the acne at bay (keep in mind ladies, some of that acne is hormonal and a little cleanser can't do much about that) and does a great job of removing makeup as well. While it leaves my skin feeling a little bit tight, it's nothing that following up with moisturizer can't fix. I will say one thing: when I first started using it, I noticed a little bit of peeling around my nose. I think that's the salicylic acid--it's an acid, after all. ;) I've noticed that it takes a few days for my skin to "settle in" when I start using a product like this. It goes away though!

Great for the diva on a budget
Okay, let me just say that I have a thing for skin and hair care products, and tend to gravitate toward the more pricey brands. Such a girly girl. However, now that I'm a nursing student, I'm not working enough to be able to drop $10+ on...let's be honest...soap. It's pretty much all the same anyway. I've been on the search for really great drugstore brands and I'll tell ya, I LOVE this stuff! I got the cherry blossom scent and it's the perfect pick-me-up. Great light scent, foams up nicely, leaves my skin feeling refreshed. It's not the most moisturizing thing in the world but look at it; it's not a creamy formula. Suave has those as well if that's what you want. Also, it's about $1. I saw a complaint about it containing sulfates. Not to get all nerdy on y'all but EVERYTHING labeled "wash," or "cleanser," in general, contains sulfates. So do shampoos, conditioners, face washes, etc. They irritate some people's skin so some people have to look for products labeled sulfate-free. Sulfates, however, are not inherently bad for your skin. If your skin is dry, use lotion. Soap is basic; it's usually going to dry your skin. It's the added fragrances that are usually the problem for most people though, and what can cause things like yeast infections.

I purchased this gel simply because I was out of gel and the 24 hour drugstore didn't carry my usual. I like the Herbal Essences conditioner I'd recently purchased so I figured I might as well give this a try. Wow. The only thing going for it is that it smells nice. Other than that, it's a waste of money. I have very curly hair and all it did was turn my hair into a big frizz-ball on my head. I added a little more, trying to smooth out the uneven spots (some spots on my head were curly, some just frizzed out like I'd stuck my finger in a light socket) and that did absolutely nothing but make my hair feel like hay. In exasperation I finally threw the junk out (after one use), brushed my hair back into a tight bun--which started frizzing after about an hour, by the way--and called it a day. Good thing it was a laid-back weekend. What a mess.

Be careful if you are prone to breakouts!
I started using this serum about a month ago and I really have noticed a difference. I have very fair skin and so I have the beginnings of some deeper wrinkles around my eyes and creases on my forehead. My "smile lines" were also beginning to show up...all something that, in your early 30's, makes you all the more aware that you need to take good care of your skin! Anyway, I've really noticed an improvement in the lines on my forehead and eyes, and the ones around my mouth are barely noticeable! The biggest complaint that I have is that my T-zone broke out in a BIG way, and all month. I used this under my regular lotion, which is for combination skin, and it was just too much. This past week I've started using the serum on its own and that seems to be much better--my skin seems to like that more, and is clearing up. If you have oily/combination skin, I'm not sure that I would go with both the lotion AND the serum!
