Instant Gratification for tired eyes!
Perfect pick-me up for under the eyes. There is absolutely no long term benefit (haha) to using this product. That is exactly how it is marketed as well, as an instant gratification item. You should continue to use your regular skincare...Ooh La Lift is just an instant pick-me-up. It does immediately brighten, tighten, and depuff under the eye...it has chamomile (great soother) to depuff, and raspberry extract that is a great "instant" brightener. The effect lasts about an hour or so. For around $20, I didn’t expect it to last even that long. It comes in a tube with a wand, very similar to a lip gloss. It’s not a concealer though. It is a light pink gel that absorbs quickly into the skin. It does have a brightening effect, but I wouldn’t rely on it to cover up dark circles. I use it in the morning on top of concealer and it helps my concealer from settling so much in the little lines around my eyes and helps to refresh the look of my concealer. It also helps keep it on longer much longer. Then I will use it once after lunch (when I usually feel really tired), and maybe once after work if I'm going out. It's something you keep in your purse and touch up like you were to touch up lipstick. One thing I would suggest about the whole line of Benefit is actually going to a counter and talking to an associate. They can show you how to use Benefit’s products and they mention stuff that wouldn’t be on the website. Also, I love to keep an extra one of these in my fridge and use it in the mornings after long night outs. It makes me look well-rested and refreshed, although most of the time I’m really not!

If you like full-coverage, you'll love dermablend
The packaging of this product is so ugly...looks very medicinal. BUT, inside the tube is what really matters right? I love this stuff. I don't have tattoos to cover or anything, and I know that’s what Dermablend is known for, but I have a ton of red/purple acne marks from post break outs...and they are all on the right side of my face (the culprit was sleeping on my hair). It’s very difficult to find a concealer or foundation that can cover these types of marks. The colors are a little odd and I definitely recommend trying them in the store and not purchasing online. I have no problems with Dermablend...no acne and no orange color effect. It does not emphasize my scabs or dry spots. In fact, it kind of smoothes them out and gives more of an airbrushed look to my face. It doesn't look cakey at all on me and doesn’t make my pores look as noticeable. Dermablend foundation isn't too matte or dewy; it’s a very nice combination of in-between. I do have to set the foundation with a powder or will I will become shiny and the makeup might “slide” a bit, but it’s not as bad as other full-coverage foundations. I kind of use the foundation as more of a concealer because it works that good at covering problem areas. I love the fact I can use this on large areas of my face and then use my lighter foundation on areas that I don't need coverage, and it looks like I have perfect skin, which is far far from the truth. You only need a very little bit, and the tube is huge. I have had mine for 6 months and I doubt I am even halfway down the tube. So all in all, I will deal with the really ugly packaging of this product if it helps to keep this amazing product affordable for us.

Another great product from Mario Badescu
This is a really different product as it is a white powder. You add water to the powder to make a mask. Works a MILLION times better when used after Biore Strips. I first use a Biore Strip after a hot shower (when my pores are wide open), leave that on until its dry, pull it up and observe all the nasty-ness that was plugged in my nose. I rinse the excess residue off from the strip, and while my skin is still wet, I apply the silver powder to turn into a creamy paste. I really make it more like a paste than a cream. Leave on for 10 minutes (longer if I can), rinse, and INSTANTLY notice clearer skin. The Silver Powder helps to "close" the pores that my Biore Strip leaves open. So many ppl have troubles with the biore strips because it leaves the pore open and it just gets clogged again...if only they had the Silver Powder too, they would see what they're missing! I do this routine once a month, but use the Silver powder once every two weeks to refresh. I have used this product over a zit, and it really helps to reduce redness, but that's about it. But for blackheads it's wonderful, especially when used with the biore strips. It is a bit of work to get the mask off, but really nothing bad enough to prevent me from buying again. Just a couple of extra rinses, skip the toner, no big deal really. Sometimes is “white spots” that appear stuck in my skin after rinsing. But it is more a sign to me that I need to bring out the extractor (if you don't have one, GET ONE), and sure enough the white leftover spots are some remaining clogged pores. then viola! blackhead-free! I LOVE this product.

very similar to Philosophy's for half the price!
very similar to Philosphy's set. It even smells the same. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now, 3x a week...I have really oily skin and my skin can handle it well. I am very breakout prone and very prone to the red marks (scars) after a breakout because of my skintone. Seriously, a blackhead on me will leave a mark. Not all of the scars are gone but I'd say there is a 30% inprovement. Ones on my cheeks are gone, but ones on my jawline are still fading. I'm using less and less makeup ( I can actually get away with using my foundation as a concealer versues a thick heavy concealer now). I notice that when I skip my usual day to do this kit, I get a zit! So I have to be very consistant with it. Some tips for this, if you're having trouble: DO NOT use this (or any kind of scrub) over any zit or break out. The crystals (or grains) will spread the yucky stuff all over your face and you will break out more! Remember that it takes at least 2 weeks for a pimple to form (even though most of them seem to appear over night lol). But really, it does take a while. This product is removing top layers of skin, thus bringing the gunk (lol) up faster. So don't give up if you use it a couple of weeks and zits come up. DO NOT use this after a shower. After you shower, your pores are open from the steam of the shower. Seems like a great time to exfoliate right? WRONG. The crystals will actually, literally, get stuck in your pores, thus clogging them. Hope this helps!!!!!!! this is a great product for the value, and I think anyone of any age needs this!

not my fav from laura
wow, holy sparkles!....is what I thought after putting this on for the first time. This foundation is very shimmery. I really wanted to love this foundation because of all the great reviews on here, so I have been trying to for a week. But I am taking this product back to sephora. It didn't cause breakouts, but didn't make my skin any better. The coverage is medium at best. The worst part is all the shimmer! I look like a disco ball! It makes my already large pores even larger. I used with LM primer and setting powder, used without it, and just can't justify keeping this. I do love the packaging, powder doesn't fly everywhere. Thats about it.
