  • CoverGirl Intense ShadowBlast

I am really not a fan of this product for its intended purpose, which is to wear it as eye shadow by itself. This may be due to the fact that I have pretty greasy skin, but it tends to run for me and wind up all over, which definitely isn’t something I want to happen with my eye shadow! Another con for me is the smell. It does not smell good. This is not a huge determining factor for me though. You will not really smell it while it is on your eyes though. Something I really like about this is that you can buy a nude color and use it as a makeup primer. Instead of nude, you could get a color that matches one that you plan to use would work just as well too! I would not suggest using this as it is intended for if you have greasy skin!

  • CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner

CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus eyeliner definitely is not one of my favorites. This is something I had to buy for my dance team and it does work well for stage make-up because it goes on really thick to begin with. Going on super thick is not something that I like for everyday use but, may be something over people like. Another con, in my opinion is that this rubs off easily and usually winds up on the top of my eye lid as well by the end of the day. Re-doing and touch ups on makeup are not things I usually have time for so this is a real pain. The only color I have tried this in as black. It is a really great black, though. A lot of other brands make things that are off black and almost grey or blue, but this is not one of them! Another thing I like is that it is a twist up! This means there is absolutely no lost product, which you tend to get a lot of with pencils that you have to sharpen! However, when you get down to the end it still twists up, but you apply pressure the last bit just goes back in the barrel which is a royal pain. Overall, this is a pretty good product for how much you pay. It isn’t something I would be willing to pay much more for, though. I think the best way to apply it is to do as thin of a line as you can, then take eye makeup remover on a cotton swab and make the line thinner. As for it getting on the top of my eyelid, the only thing I have been able to do so far is wear eye shadow that it does not stick to, otherwise just rub it off when it gets there.

  • Maybelline New York Volum' Express Falsies Flared Washable

This is one of my new favorite mascaras! It works great, and you can build it up so your lashes are really defined! Great for stage make up!

  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Seche Vite is now the only top coat I use. I won a bottle in a giveaway from Of Life and Lacquer and I have been hooked ever since! First, it is cheap! I see it for usually around $5 a bottle and that is great value! You only need a thin coat so you don’t go through it very fast! Plus, if it saves you 4 days on a mani, then you have already spent your money well! When it says Dry Fast, it sure means it. This top coat dries unbelievably fast. You can even put it over nail polish that is still tacky and in a minute of less both will be completely dry and you will no longer be able to smudge it! Another great thing is that it doesn’t smear nail polish. Unless your color is still crazy wet, this top coat will not drag it around. This really comes in handy when you are doing nail art designs!

  • OPI Nail Lacquer
    10.0

    OPI Nail Lacquer

    Wonderful!

OPI is one of the best nail polish brands in my opinion. They have a huge variety of colors which is great- I love to have options! Plus they have very nice brushes which allow for precise application. Their formula is great compared to other brands and this nail polish lasts a while before chipping which is very important because you don’t want to spend forever on your nails just to have to re do them in an hour! OPI can be a little expensive sometimes, but at $8 you are getting very good value. There are definitely cheaper nail polish brand out on the market, but these don’t last this long and don’t have this great of formula. There are definitely more expensive ones too that are just as good as this! OPI is also 15 mL which is a lot of nail polish and a very good value!

  • Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System Puff Refills

This definitely is not something that I would ever use more than maybe three or four times a week. If I did it would probably really dry out my skin. This does a very good job to help get some of the extra junk out of my pores. My favorite way to use this is to put it on the thing and use it all over, mainly focusing on my T-zone and anywhere I have black heads. Then I use a washcloth to get rid of any excess residue. Last, I wet my face where I have black heads and use biore pore strips to help get rid of the stuff left in them. Using the Neutrogena stuff first helps loosen some of the bacteria up. If you have very sensitive skin this definitely would not be good for you. If these pads actually do not exfoliate enough for you, they do make ones that are a little rougher and made to exfoliate.

  • TRESemme Classic Styling Tres Two Extra Hold Hair Spray

I've been dancing for 11 years. When I am preforming or competing the last thing I want is for my hair to be everywhere. I just started using this hairspray in the last 3 years, and I know it is my favorite. It is super cheap. If I go through half a bottle of it I'm not going to feel bad. There are other hairsprays out there that work a little better but cost way more. What is the point of paying for more when you wind up using almost the same amount as the cheaper stuff! If you take a tooth brush and spray it as well as your hair, this really helps eliminate any flyaways! There is only 1 con in my opinion. If you spray a lot, the fumes are very bad and you may wind up inhaling some of it, which really isn't fun! The best way to avoid this is to turn on an exhaust fan while using.

  • Goody Ouchless Bobby Pins

I love these bobby pins! Many other pins fall out or get stuck and snag your hair. These, however, do nothing like that!

    Goody Ouchless Elastics

    Only hair tie I use!!

I am a dancer. This means that I practically live with my hair in a ponytail or a bun. I need something that isn't going to break because I don't have time to be rummaging through my bag trying to find a new one. In reality, most hair ties break eventually or get stretched out. Even these ones! But, even with my thick, curly hair it takes a while for the ponytail holder to get ruined especially compared to other brands. I am proud to say this is the only brand I use for hair ties!
