Top of hair gets oily 2 days after wash, rest of hair gets dry?

Why is this? The top of my hair and my bangs (partially grown out) get oily and the rest of my hair gets dry 2 days after a wash! I don't know what to do!

Re: Top of hair gets oily 2 days after wash, rest of hair gets dry?

Your oil glands are working hard, and it is most evident at the roots and at the bang area. Washing too often can be damaging; it can exacerbate already overactive oil glands and make dry hair even more fragile. Why not consider using a dry shampoo on your roots? Brush through thoroughly. Wash you bangs as often as needed to keep them fresh. Deep-condition the rest of your hair to keep it healthy. I hope that helps!
