Hair Color Courage or Crazy?

Hello, I have my name is Christina. I have been contemplating wether to go honey colored or not on my hair, I am thinking like a Gisele Bundchen color. I have a picture of me so you can see my skin tone and everything. My hair is naturally an ash dark brown. I have been told to try out the lighter side of things, I know from experience though that any hint of red does not really flatter my skin at all that is why I am going for a more honey color. Thoughts? Precautions? advice? please, I do not want to make another mistake, but I am so ready for a change :)

I understand your wanting to change your natural color, but virgin hair is unparalleled in beauty. It is multi-tonal; beware that any chemical coloring will change that for the rest of your life. Your hair's cuticle will be damaged. I was unable to see a picture of you; I would suggest using a temporary henna for color change (Lush makes them) and keep your hair in top shape. When you are older and grays become a major problem, it's a different story . . .

The first thing I suggest, Christina, based on experience, is to have a change done at a salon. I have done major changes to my hair with terrible failure. When you go to the salon, they can show you the swatches of color that are actually hair dyed that color. You can hold the swatch to your face and see if it works well with your skin tone. A good idea is to talk to your stylist is to have several shades of the colors you like foiled into your hair so you don't have mono-color. Tthis is always a better look than all over color, which I learned from doing it myself. Your stylist will help determine which color won't be too red. Definitely make an appointment for a consultation before you have your hair colored at the salon. I hope this helps, Christina. Good luck!

I say salon also; after just using so called "light brown" henna on my hair, the copper glare has me swearing off "do it myself" again.
