blog prizes

First, I love bloggers, I love the contests! I'm wondering if a prize won isn't delivered who is responsible? One blog I left a comment stating that I haven't received... please check the status. I got a personal e-mail saying to never do that again. It makes her look bad. Prizes aren't delivered. Duh! I wasn't allowed to contact them directly and she said too much time had passed. Well, the Co. got a review, the blogger got the product. So on the "winners" end we're supposed to let it go. How about running a contest before a review? If they don't deliver they aren't getting publicity.

Re: blog prizes

Sounds like the blogger got a freebie and I would have contacted the company directly anyway. I'm sure they'd love to know that they'd been played for some free swag! Plus, I'm sure the readers also might like to know their blogger is a phoney!

I don't know that the company would care. Blogs are the new t.v. ads. They (in my opinion) start out with good intentions. At some point it turns into a popularity contest for them. They lose sight of the people that signed up and helped them along the way. I like the contests where every one fills out basic info. Not jump through hoops to hopefully win a prize. Sorry, I had to rant.

Vent away!! That's what the community is here for! LOL I regularly contact companies about a wide variety of issues. I have found, at least in my experience, that they do care and are usually very nice about trying to rectify the issue. I have to admit that while I may read a blog or 2, I don't usually put in for the prizes as I honestly just don't trust folks I don't know. LOL
