Bleaching it up to at least a level 11 which is considered the palest yellow achievable (while leaving hair intact) and then using a purple toner. I use Redken Shades EQ 9V at the bowl while the hair is still wet. If you put it on dry hair it will turn that color of hair purple. You have to watch it closely even when it is wet and apply it mainly to the new growth or your ends will get purple. It is most definitely the most challenging hair I do behind the chair.
