Anyone else proud to be pale vs. fake tanned? o.o

My friends always complain to me how pale i look, and i just sit there thinking, I like being pale ._. They think im wierd but i dontthink its that odd? Im talking about fake tans vs. natural skin color, not like racism x] Is it weird that i like being pale? And why does everyone think pale is ugly? >.< Thoughts?

agreed!

I think's all about embracing who you naturally are. My whole family is from europe, so why the heck would I be anything but snow colored?  I feel it's the same when women with beautiful dark  or olive skin try to lighten it.  You are perfect the way you are! plus, if you're trying to go against nature it will never look good, it will always look fake.

My story is completely shallow. I dated a guy in college who once commented on how pale my skin is, immediately followed by how pretty it is. Since then, I have never felt self-conscious of my pale skin. The point is, I think plenty of people like pale skin, presumably because it looks natural.

I'm slowing making my way there! I gave up tanning years ago but I'm still guilty of using sunless

tanner here and there... :)

Pale Skin (Not a fan of wrinkles)

To me, pale skin equivocates to protected skin! I'd rather have protected skin with no melanomas than bronze, cancer-ridden skin! I have freckles so I've always been sun-shy and super SPF-conscious. I am now 55 and glad that I've taken the measures I have to protect my skin from the sun---I have minimal sun-damage and my skin looks great! Pale (when natural) is beautiful.

Re: Pale Skin

I think rocking pale skin is awesome -- and a trend that more women should try!

It's true that the more you protect yourself from the sun, the healthier your skin will be. Try these healthy skin tips to find out how else you can protect yourself!

Pale skin = Skin Cancer free down the road

I'm with you, natural skin color is beautiful and protecting it from the damaging rays of the sun and fake tanning beds is incredibly important.

I have always been teased that my skin, and especially my legs, is "butt white".  When I was younger, I would try to lay out but I always burned and never tanned.  About 2 years ago I started trying faux tanners and have never found one that isn't noticeable.  I certainly don't want to be out strutting my self tanner stripes!  I have finally decided to embrace my butt white skin and baby it.  A lot of my friends who did tan, look 10 years older than they really are!  Pale People Power!! Tongue out

Yes!

I've never tanned or never worn blush.  I love being pale.  I'm 56 and look much younger (unless people are lying!).  I see sooo many young people all tanned and orange.  They'll be sorry in a few years.

Trust me!

My friends used to tease me about my skin all the time in high school. But I never cared. I liked being the different one in the group. Pale skin is just way prettier, in my opinion. :)
