My beauty routine gets variety added to it when different products are used in my routine, such as switching up different hair products so that my hair turns out curly with a curl serum or straight with a straightening balm.
I add variety in my routine by reading up on all the beauty blogs and reviews on beauty products I may be interested in. I always read up on a product before I go and buy, and then instead of buying full size products I like to but the trial size or travel size on products that I'm not sure about. (which are usually pretty generous)
If I like them I'll add them in, or totally switch it out by buying the full size for an old product that usually isn't working. Also it's all about mood, climate and the events I'm going to attend.I also like to buy kits or try me packages.
I love trying new products (not sure my husband loves my beauty product addiction though!). My favorite thing is to try subscription services that let me try a bunch of products at once...

I add variety to my beauty routine by changing up the haircare products I use as well as the fragrances to change my look and scent.
I add variety every morning when I decide what eyeshadow/lipgloss mood I'm in.
The easiest way to add variety to my makeup is to change up my eyes. There are so many options out there that go great with green eyes. Somedays I play up my eyes with rich browns and purples, others I use a nice shimmery champagne color and play up my lips with a real red. Its so much fun to play with different makeup applications that on my days off I love to experiment with different looks. I ask hubs for his opinion and that way I know if its too over the top before trying it out on the town!
I like to add variety to my beauty routine by changing up products according to season (ie: richer moisturizers during the winter and more sheer formulas for the summer, warmer, spiceir, woodsy scented products for the fall and winter vs. lighter, more herbal scents for the spring and summer, and deeper, darker, richer colors for the fall/winter and lighter/brighter colors for the spring/summer.)
I am stuck in a rut - I like to use the same products over and over, and it gets worse as I get older.
I can't resist buying new beauty products--especially color products like eyeshadow or lipgloss.
