Tips for people with sensitive skin

A friend of mine has eczema and I asked her what to look for in face washes and face lotions that could irritate the skin. I just have very sensitive skin and tend to get dry patches with many face washes near my cheeks. She said to stay away from face washes with alcohol in them. This will create even more dry skin or irritate your already dry and sensitive skin.

Dr. Bronner's Organic Pure Castile Liquid Soap, this stuff is amazing , natural, I wrote a review in how many ways you can use it. Great for sensitive dry skin...check out the unscented. Good luck! Keep us updated on whatever you do :-)

The Fragrance free/sensitive Olay facial cleansers, wipes, and serums are good, too, but still check out the articles on the Paula's Choice website. You should be able to find a lot of good info and product recommendations (even of different brands). You may also need a very gentle exfoliant or hydrocortisone in combination with the appropriate cleanser and lotion. The PC website really helps me in finding the right product or combination of products for my difficult skin.

Hi, I have very sensitive, reactive skin, too. I also have close family members with eczema and psoriasis. I would highly recommend going to the Paula's Choice website. They have excellent information about skincare, plus they give unbiased reviews and recommendations of different brands and products. I learned a lot from that website and use their Skincare products myself because I have both sensitive and combination skin. They also have a tool to help you choose what is appropriate for you. Plus their customer service is super knowledgable and can help you, as well. Most products for sensitive skin are for very dry skin. Products for combination skin are usually too harsh for me. Paula's Choice has something for everyone and it is reasonably priced. Also, stay away from anything with fragrance, mint or citrus in it. It will make your situation worse most likely. Good luck!

Hi! I noticed that your post is on eczema. I actually happen to have psoriasis myself and have drying of the skin. I've been using Rodan and Fields "Soothe" and have found success. If interested, visit marakaki.myrandf.com. 10% off all products and free shipping. Also, she can return what she purchases within 60 days and get her money back. It doesn't hurt to try!
