Fall Favorites 2013
Primer: In the winter my skin gets really dry so I have been loving Victoria's Secret Pro Airbrush FX Hydrating Primer (longest name ever, I know). It really helps prevent dry patches when I wear foundation.
Foundation: I don't wear foundation that often but when I do I tend to use MAC Face and Body. I know it was on my summer favorites list as well but I just can't get over how much I love this product. It works really well on my dry skin and has the perfect amount of coverage for me.
Concealer: For my under eye circles I like to use Cle de Peau's Correcteur Visage. It is super pigmented so it actually does a really good job of covering up the scary bags I have. It is pricy but it's worth it.
Powder: I am usually not a huge fan of translucent powders, but Face Atelier's Loose Powder has swayed me. It makes my skin stay matte for a very long time without reapplying which is what I always look for in a powder.
Bronzer: I don't like to get too bronzed up in the fall/winter so I use Too Faced Chocolate Soleil in milk chocolate. This is the only bronzer that has every been pale enough for me out of the ones I've tried so my favorite hasn't changed since summer.
Blush: When my skin gets drier, powder blushes start to look flakier on my skin so I tend to use cream blushes during the fall. My favorite at the moment is Bobbi Browns Pot Rouge. I have a couple different colors and they are all amazingly pigmented and have great staying power.
Highlighter: I was never a big highlighter user until I found bareMinerals Well Rested Face and Eye Brightener. It creates the most natural and beautiful glow to the skin that isn't over the top for fall and winter.
Eye Primer: I have really been liking Blend Mineral Cosmetics Eye Primer. This is quite similar to NYX primer but it isn't as white which is why I prefer it. It makes sure shadow stays secure all night and day.
Eye Shadow: In the fall and winter I like to use darker shadows. My favorite shadow palette at the moment in the Inglot Freedom System one that I made while in New York last winter. All the shadows in it are amazing. I couldn't pick a favorite. They are so pigmented and last forever.
Eye Liner: Pixi Beauty's Endless Silky Eye Pen in Oyster Glow has got to be my favorite eyeliner at the moment. It makes the eyes really appear more awake and alert which is very important in the cold months.
Mascara: The typical black mascara is what I usually go for but when I am feeling a little more wild I like to use Benefit's Badgal Mascara in plum. Benefit is the queen of mascara in my mind so it's not a surprise I picked them as another favorite.
Brows: I have always used Bobbi Brown's Eye Shadow in 30 wheat to fill in my brows. It looks the most natural to me which is why I have always returned to doing them this way.
Lip Product: My lips get pretty dry due to cold weather so I tend to use lip stains in the fall more than lipstick. I have been using YSL's Glossy Stain in 7 corail aquatique. It is such a pretty nude coral color that looks really great with any eye look I do in the fall.
That concludes my fall favorites. Thanks for reading!
