Uh-oh! Hair dye on my skin!

I have changed my hair color many times over the years. It's not that I couldn't go to a salon (though now with a baby I will save money when I can), it was just a personal preference. I'd rather change my hair color in the comfort of home and style it the way I want to. That way, if something goes wrong, I can only blame myself. The issue I have run into is when you get the dye on your skin.

Originally, this trick came from removing permanent marker that I got on my cheek. Please don't ask how it got there. I tend to be clumsy at times. I was all out of my facial wash and decided to use Oxy astringent pads. It worked! When I got dye on my face, I thought it was the pretty much the same thing. I find that some facial astringents work better than others. The Equate brand that is medicated also works quite well though you may have to go over the affected area a few times for two days. I have been a big fan of Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil-Eliminating Astringent.

Be sure to test the product on a small area of your skin at first before you proceed. Cleaning times may vary upon skin type and a number of factors. Read product labels carefully before using. Do not apply in or around eyes or mouth.
