Long hair and swimming pools

Do you have long hair? I do, and I know it's easier to just get in the water with out any planning... But as a pool owner, it occurred to me to share a tip about long hair & swimming pools. 
A little long hair is not a problem but if you're at a pool party with lots of people, consider putting your hair in a ponytail. 
Why? Long hair will clog skimmers, thus causing water flow restriction. If the water flow is hindered, the pump motor works much harder, possibly decreasing the life of the pump.
