Is Your Flat Iron Hurting Your Hair?

If you are like most women, you have an arsenal of beauty and hairstyling tools in your bathroom.
Tools are great and give lots of options when styling your hair, however, extra care must be taken to prevent damage to your lovely locks.
Do you ever feel like the ends of your hair are dry and brittle?
The biggest culprits are those styling tools that apply direct heat to the hair. Examples would be curling irons and flat irons.
Although it is too much to ask you to give up using such effective props, you can counter any abuse they cause by applying the right treatments to your hair regularly.
Heat breaks down the protein in your hair. Since hair is primarily made up of protein, it is important to rebuild the hair by adding a protein treatment to your weekly haircare routine.
Try This:Once a week, work a protein treatment (I recommend Redken's Extreme CAT Protein Reconstructor) between your shampoo and regular conditioner. It takes only a few minutes, and the results are immediate. The rebuild hair will be stronger and as a bonus, will hold moisture better. The results will be softer, shinier, stronger hair that will hold your style better!

I personally use a good flat iron that causes less damage to my hair, it's the Karmin G3 Salon Pro Styling Iron which has tourmaline ceramic plates that treats well the hair and keep it soft, shiny and smooth. :D
