Approximately 860 TB Members have Fallen for the Hype by Urban Decay and are Wasting Their Money

The cosmetics industry has only one goal:  to make money.  They create products, hype it so we fall for the hype, make us want it,  and make a lot of money.

The biggest example of people falling for the hype relates to eye primer.  If you use a highly pigmented powder eyeshadow applied with a brush,  you don't need eye lid primer.  Urban Decay (one of the big culprits in creating a false need for primer), Too Faced, Revlon and Maybelline have highly pigmented powder eye shadows.  When you apply these, they do not move around or crease without primer.  If you use cream eye shadow, of course it will crease and melt because it has petrolatum in it.  If  you switch to highly pigmented  powder eye shadows, I guarantee you will not have a problem with eye shadow melting or creasing.  You don't need primer.  In the case of those of you who do want to continue to use greasy cream eye shadow, then maybe a primer will help.  But, why spend your hard-earned money on a primer for cream shadows when you won't have the problems with powder eye shadows?  I hope this helps because I am a big proponent about the cosmetic industry creating false needs.
