Rae Minerals Tinted Moisturizer
I was really excited about the opportunity to test out rae cosmetics! They care about makeup and fitness too--it seems like so many people think those two interests are mutually exclusive, but it's nice to see that there are companies and consumers who love both.
rae cosmetics promises that their products won't smear, cake, or smudge, no matter what the weather, or what activity you're doing. Their ingredients are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and cruelty-free. They use minimal product packaging to reduce waste, and they donate all of the proceeds from their Smartie lipgloss to Girlstart, a non-profit helping girls succeed in math, science, technology, and engineering. That's awesome.
rae cosmetics sent me their tinted moisturizer, blush, and mascara to test out.
Rae Cosmetics Climate Control Mineral Tint SPF 20
About: "A water-based foundation, non-chemical sunscreen and antioxidant moisturizer all-in-one. The water-resistant formula stays on all day, even when you sweat. Micro-crushed blend of minerals, pigments and potent anti-oxidants form crystals that overlap on skin forming a barrier that protects from free radicals, pollutants and sun damage, while allowing the skin to breathe and function normally, as if wearing nothing at all."
There are eight shades available. I received samples of four different shades, and shade 25 (far left) was the closest to my skintone. For a tinted moisturizer, it's good. For my blotchy skin, it's not enough coverage, but it'd be a good product to keep in your purse or workout bag. It's not greasy, and it looks as good at the end of the day as it does when you put it on. It'll make it through errands, a sweaty workout, and whatever else the day brings. I tried to find out how many ounces are in the full sized product, but that information doesn't seem to be available online. The price tag is a little spendy.
