I received a sample of the Joico RevitaLuxe Bio-Advanced Restorative Treatment in my February Beauty Army kit. I initially thought this would be great for my post pregnancy hair, which is currently very dry. The first use, my hair felt very smooth, hydrated and I was able to go 3 days until I had to wash it again. The second use (3 days after the first use), my hair felt smooth and hydrated, but this time it also felt heavy and a bit textured - which I assumed meant that I didn't rinse it out completely. My hair needed to be washed by the next day, it was very heavy and felt oily/dirty. The third use (the day after the second use), I made sure to rinse my hair thoroughly, but it still made my, hair feel heavy. I wanted a week until I used it again, the fourth use had a turnout just like the first use.
Since this is a treatment product, I can only use it once a week, if needed. Which is good, that means the product does it's job well enough to hold me over for a week until I feel like my hair needs that extra attention again. I love the way this product smells, how it makes my hair feel, how long the treatment lasts and how well it works. The only thing I dislike about this product is the consistency, it's very very very watery. When I first used it I did a quarter size amount since my hair is pretty long right now. That only covered the top of my hair, do I added another quarter size amount, which only covered half of the remainder of my hair. So, for my hair length and medium thickness, I use about a full hands worth of product. That's the most product I've had to use at one time on my hair. I had a generous sized sample, but only got four uses out of it because of how much I had to use each time.
Overall, I really enjoy this product, but since it's a thinner consistency and requires me to use a lot each time, I probably won't buy the full size. Unless it's on sale, then I'll probably debate getting it.
