Twist of Fate: Creative Nails

So I can't quite complain because I was just trying to test it out, not sure if I should have use regular clear tape. (I have to say, my nails look kind of cool with the tape one, I don't know about you.)
Here's what I tried to do: I taped the top of my old nail polish leaving a little bit of the bottom of my nails exposed to paint over. I then took this silver sweep color from Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri series and painted just the bottom of my nails.
Here's the results:
In summary, I feel like this "look" definitely has a potential to look amazing, but I think I'm just going to use nail polish and remove this failed attempt.

Yeah, my only concern is there is still potential for "spillage" with the tape I used. But yeah it's definitely a doable look for the future, just with a bit more practice or a different, better trimmed tape.

Actually I think you're halfway there. If the tape was cut to be more precise then it'd look awesome. I like the silver polish and could see it paired up with a bright blue or a hot pink.

I'm starting to get into the "creative nail" things and love the idea of bold polish, mixing polish colors, nail art, etc! Right now I'm digging the "half moons" mani (where you have a darker color that resembles a moon on the bottom part of the nail bed and then a different color for the rest of the nail)...gorgeous!
