Makeup Primer

We have all been sold a "bill of goods" with primers  I have tried my makeup with and without primers.  No difference!

As to eyes - what a joke.  If you use highly pigmented shadows like Urban Decay, Too Faced. Revlon and Maybelline, the shadows stay on with proper blending.  If you want to pre-brighten your eyes, just extend a little concealer onto your eyelids.

As to face - you do not need color correcting, like Smashbox at $36.00.  Your moisturizer evens out your skin tone, and a good foundation takes care of this.  That is its job.  Get a good foundation, and you do NOT need primer.  I just bought L'Oreal Visible Lift at Walgreens.  It is the best foundation I have ever used.  It has a built in foundation brush.  Too Faced tried this concept a few years ago, and failed miserably.  I tried the Visible Lift with and without the Stila primer I still had.  There was absolutely no difference whatsover.  My face looked radiant.  I do not need a primer as I was told I did.  So, I realized it is the foundation that makes the difference.  I read a tip about applying foundation.  Spray a little Evian Water (you can get a spray bottle at Ulta or Sephora) on your foundation brush, and your foundation goes on smoothly and evenly.  It reall does work!

I hope someone gleans some help and information from this blog and will save money and time.  Carole VonAllten
