What's with women starving themselves?
Forewarning: This may cause an uproar
Can someone please help me with this? I was just reading an article about detoxes that starve you while you do them, the same for diets. I just don't understand this whole phenomenon. Here I am 5'2" at 127lbs I don't consider myself fat or chubby but I don't think it would be flattering for me to put on anymore weight but I'm not starving myself! While I do think I look better when I'm at 110lbs I'm not going to go out of my way to get to that weight. Weight fluctuates as we go through our menstrual and other cycles throughout the month and year.
Eating is part of being human; it's part of living. If you don't allow yourself to enjoy eating how can you really enjoy living? Sometimes eating can be a hassle when you have other things you want to do and you're really busy but I don't know anyone that would disagree that there's nothing better than sitting at table with loved ones and eating a delicious dinner. Eating good food does something for the soul. It just blows my mind that women are willing to sacrifice the joy of eating to be skinny. Skinny isn't even that pretty! When I look at someone I don't want to see their bones sticking out of their skin! People like that just look sick or like they have some kind of problem. It's the girls that have a little bit of weight on them, some substance to them that I like to look at. You can be thin without being bony! Maybe I'm just wierd for liking to see people that aren't walking sticks. To me people that enjoy eating are people that enjoy life, they're aren't hung up on what every single person thinks about them.
I'm not saying let's all be fat and unhealthy, I'm just saying eat whatever you want, as long as it's in moderation, and just work out on a regular basis and you can't go wrong. There's no reason why you should have to constantly be thinking about being skinny, just enjoy life.
