dior nude foundation review

i never knew a foundation could exist that looked completely like my skin.

now even though i absolutely LOVE this stuff, im gonna give the pros and the cons.

coverage: when i bought this, i was scared the coverage would be terrible seeing how "nude" is the description. well i put on one layer and it effectively covered my acne scars. not in the way some illuminating tinted moisturizers do, but actually covered them. one layer! i almost jumped with joy. i have to say, my scars are small and not dark, but they are pretty red. this wouldnt cover very bad scarring but redness around the nose and uneven skintone would be eliminated.

color: this may be a con to some. the lightest shade is a teeny tiny bit too dark for me and if not blended into my neck, it can show the line on my jaw. very fair women couldnt pull it off. but its very forgiving. it doesnt turn orange and it doesnt darken through the day.

finish: very very very beautiful finish. its neither dewey or matte. its exactly like my skin but flawless. its like me but airbrushed. throughout the day, my oil will start to break through and it looks beautiful to me. like dewey glowing skin. if you have very oily skin, you might not like this. but whats aweosme is, i have dry skin and this doesnt show the flakes or make me more dry. this dosesnt last 12 hours but i dont need a twelve hour foundation. it lasts more like six too seven hours.. there is no, i repeat NO glitter, shimmer of any kind in the formula. if youve ever used lancomes teint miracle, theres this very beautiful illumination. dior doesnt even have that, but theres something close. maybe its just not as profound.

consistency: when i first sampled the liquid on my hand, again i thought it would be sheer coverage. the consistency is like if you were to take airbrush makeup and spray it on your hand. its odd. but the foundation is so pigmented its amazing. its very liquidy and blends wonderfully into the skin.

price: its a whopping 46 dollars. after tax its almost 50. if you order it online, itll be even more. i know its very expensive, but for someone like me who enjoys makeup, i can justify it. it seems like every foundation breaks me out. this doesnt at all. theres 40% mineral water and i dont mind paying for something that makes me confident, beautiful, and doesnt break me out. why pay for something cheap that just makes me slap on even more to cover a problem that wont be fixed. im not saying cheap products break everyone out, but they do me.
