well ive tried so many foundations. cream, liquid powder yada yada yada......

pur minerals 4 in 1: favorite powder but if i wear powder too many days ina row, i break out and blackheads come to the party to. good coverage though.  27$

lancome tieint idole ultra: same as miracle but more coverage. both are beautiful. 42$

makeup forever hd: good for people with oily skin. 40$

origins stay tuned: beautiful finish. in fact dupe of dior. but not enough coverage as dior 20$

nars sheer glow: hated this. very drying in my opinion 42$

clinique supermoisture: once again, glittery 24$

lorac natural performance: dried orange on me 36$

mac prolong wear: to drying but awesome for oily people. kinda oxidized $?

i have a whole other list for drugstore but this is already long.. the only one i really like is cg smoothers but the colors on those are weird too..

anyway!!! its been a long and tiresome journey through which i wanted to gie up. o and i didnt buy all of these. most were samples.

see, the main problem i had was they looked so unnatural. i hate the makeupy look.  foundations would settles into laugh lines and it annoyed me so much. i could use tinted moisturizers, but i need more coverage from acne and scarring. its not bad but my skin is my biggest insecurity. so one day, i was experimenting and i tryed something.

i took my foundation and used it as a spot concealer on the places i needed coverage, then lightly powdered with translucent powder to bring it all together. i was amazed. it looked like my skin but better. no makeup look. no settling. even in direct sunlight. i know this way of doing it isnt mind blowing but its ended my frustration and i cant understand why i didnt think of it earlier. i just applied foundation everywhere and it always looked bad. (except for dior but i cant wear that everyday)

my search ended yesterday. after searching online reviews for a good full coverage foundation, i bought dermablend smooth indulgence foundation. i basically use it as concealer and loreal translucent powder. im going to get a new powder though because this one makes me oilier than usual. but all in all, i love this way and i hope it stays that way.
