Wet n Wild Cream Eyeliner in Black
You guys know that I love Wet n Wild. Great products, great prices. Of course, with an drugstore makeup collection they just sit in the drugstore and wait for me to buy them. Not that I like drugstore makeup more than high-end makeup. It's just that I go into CVS and Walgreens to pick up other things besides makeup like hair dye, shampoo, batteries for my camera, snacks, etc. So, when the makeup is just sitting there I have an excuse to get it, because I am right there. But I don't normally go into Sephora for food or camera batteries so I end up buying drugstore makeup a lot. Wet n Wild is one of the first brands I always go towards. You can get pretty much everything under $5 and the quality is outstanding.
I've definetly been loving Wet n Wild products a lot lately.....but I have not been buying that many just enjoying the ones I have. So, needless to say their is alot of Wet n Wild items from the core collection that I have yet to try. One of them being the cream eyeliner. I have heard from numerous beautyy bloggers that this cream eyeliner is better than high end ones (I think the Smashbox one in particular, which I LOVE and is a holy grail item to me) and stays on amazingly well. So, it was time to fork out the $3.99 (SO cheap compared to other brands!) and try this baby out!
I guess this liner is more popular than I even thought because my CVS only had 2 Eggplants (I didn't want Eggplant because I just bought the LOreal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Eggplant) and only one Black. So, as soon as I got in the car I tried this eyeliner on my upper lash line with a slight wing.
Hours after I put the liner on, I rubbed my eye and was surprised that only the tiniest bit smudged under my eye and on my hand. Normally, with cream and gels they are slightly smudgy even after they dry just because of their texture. So, the staying power is pretty good. In fact, it was still on good when I removed them with my regular makeup remover wipes.
Since the staying power is so good, I actually have a bit of a tough time removing this eyeliner with makeup remover. It definetly takes a bit of rubbing, so if that annys you- you may want to try a different cream eyeliner.
This eyeliner comes in a slightly UFO shaped pot that actually opens through the bottom. A tiny, angled eyeliner brush is included. I persoanlly think that the brush is good quality. It is shaped good, feels sturdy, and has not "shed" at all. The thing is, I only like angled eyeliner brushes for my lower lash line and waterline not for my top lash line where I noramlly use cream eyeliner. So, I replaced this brush with my KIM E101 and have been using that. The brush will go pretty much useless, but hey- thanks for the effort Wet n Wild. Angled brushes are just not my cup of tea.
The cream eyeliner is actually really creamy and a joy to put on. It really glides on with no tugging or pulling and feels nice on my eyelids.
You defiently get a decent amount of product in the UFO:) and it is tiny enough to easily travel with it. Overall, this is defiently one of the best cream liners I have used to date. I LOVE the creamy consistensy and the nice, unique packaging.
