Coconut Oil

After hearing amazing things from friends and my hairdresser about the effects of coconut oil, I finally tried it in my hair! Besides smelling like a pina colada, the oil has worked wonders on my dry, heat-abused strands. I ended up buying Extra-Virgin Organic Coconut Oil from Whole Foods (only $16). I've been an avid user of Moroccan Oil and was a bit hesitant to switch over to yet another product, but I am very impressed with the results. I think we would all opt for putting natural products in our hair rather than ones that contain... silicone (that pretend to heal damaged hair but just make it look shiny instead).

I've been using the coconut oil for 3 days now and it not only has made my curly hair, well curlier, but has also hydrated my hair while blow-drying it. Has anyone else used coconut oil? Would love to hear your thoughts on how it has or hasn't worked on your hair. I've also heard it's great for moisturizing your skin too!

This is the one I purchased:

I purchase 100% coconut oil from my beauty supply for $1.99, but I don't like how it weighs my hair down, it looks all thin and greasy, gross!!
