My Top 5 Favorite Blushes
Today we’re talking about blush. I never leave the house without at least a little teeny bit of blush. Blush adds a healthy glow to your face when applied correctly. (See my discussion on How to Apply Blush PROPERLY!) I picked my five favorites and I’m going to share with you which ones they are and why I love them. I’ll list a swatch of all of them side by side at the end. Enjoy!#5: NARS Blush in Deep Throat $27
This is a very pretty peachy color with a nice soft shimmer. I love all of the NARS blushes because they have a great color range and beautiful pigmentation; a little goes a long way.
#4: Urban Decay Afterglow Pressed Powder Blush in Quickie (Discontinued)
Unfortunately the Urban Decay Afterglow Pressed Powder Blushes don’t seem to be available anywhere but Amazon as they appear to be discontinued but has been replaced by Urban Decay Afterglow Glide On Cheek Tint with the same color name: Quickie. I haven’t tried this formula yet but they say it is sheer, buildable and filled with vitamins to nourish your skin. I like this shade for the cool toned looks I do because it’s a bright, cheery pink with a slight shimmer.
#3: Urban Decay Afterglow Pressed Powder Blush in Score (Discontinued)
As with Quickie this is also discontinued but available in the cream form. Score is a really pretty shimmery peach color that I wear with warmer toned looks when I want a more peachy cheek versus a bronzy cheek.
#2: NARS Blush in Madly $27
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this blush. It claims to be a “seashell pink” but it’s more of a golden bronze to me. Soooo pretty on and perfect for summer.
#1: Benefit Bella Bamba $28
This is my go-to blush. It’s a VERY pretty watermelon pink with gold shimmer. What I love is how beautifully it applies and it even smells really yummy. The boxes are really cute too! I have several of the Benefit boxed blushes/bronzers/highlighters and this is my favorite.
