St Ives Blemish Fighting Scrub
First let me just say, LOVE THIS SCRUB, this has got to be one of the most best physical exfoliants I have ever used. Since there "NEW LOOK" the smell has definitely changed but this is still nice to use. Its key selling point being its use of Ground Walnut and apricot extract, this has its positives and its negatives, with this you do not need to scrub at your skin hard as your skin will become a totally shredded mess, reason being is these grains are not perfectly round and will naturally have some sharp edges which can damage and tear the skin. but with nice reasonable pressure you can achieve a perfect radiant skin fully exfoliated and ready for moisturiser.
So "Blemish Fighting" the reason for this name is its additional chemical exfoliant "Salicylic Acid" this ingredient has the ability to penetrate the pore and help dissolve and loosen the dirt inside,
However they don’t state the percentage of acid in the product so I would only imagine it being 0.5% to 1.0%, best percentage to have it for blemish prone skin is 2.0%
After the scrub the skin feels very, very smooth and looks radiant almost glowing, but remember to protect this freshly scrubbed skin with an SPF if daytime or even so a moisturiser with caring ingredients at night.
So if you want to get your hands on this stuff it can be found at boots (www.boots.com) for £4.38.< Previous Post Next Post >
