Bright Coral Lips for Spring

I recently did a very un-scientific poll around the office asking what type of makeup could my fellow co-workers not live without. To my surprise, it was the same answer (from all three of them) -- foundation.

I'm not a big foundation wearer so it was a bit of a surprise to me, because the makeup product I cannot live without is lip color (sticks, gloss, pencils, balms etc).

I feel like as long as I apply my SPF, I can basically walk out the door comfortable -- so long as I know that my lips are covered.

I never was a big makeup girl, but lately I just can't get enough of colorful pretty lips. Recently Estee Lauder's "Pure Color" Long Lasting Lipstick in "Melon" landed on my desk. It's a beautiful color (jewel toned coral) and it's officially my favorite shade for spring.

What do you ladies think? Is there a makeup product you can't live without? Are you enjoying coral tones this spring?

I've been looking for a pretty coral color- this looks perfect. Ill have to try it. I could live without foundation..... as long as I had some moisturizer and Estee Lauder Doublewear concealer (it makes a very good foundation at a push!) Is this cheating??

I love estee lauders melon, but it is kind of too loud for me. I would choose the coral sun instead for a good coral in the pure color line. I also like a lip tint w spf for summer. laura mercier and bobbi brown both have some nice colors although I like the laura ones better for staying power. As for foundation i like a transfer resistant one that will not move in heat or humitidy. I like double wear light by estee lauder, sheer complexion evening coverage of a tinted moisteriser and 12 hr staying power.

In the past I would have agreed about the foundation, but since I tried minerals I am a believer. My #1 is foundation, #2 blush, and #3 lipgloss! BTW, Lauder's Melon is gorgeous!

Fun shade! I could probably live without foundation (although concealer for the odd zit or under-eye circles is a must!), but I can't live without my mascara or lip balm.
