Weight Loss

At this point in my life I thought I would be maintaining my weight loss.  Unfortunately, I am starting it again.  I had it under control at the age of 25.  Now 36 and 50 lbs heavier.  I rejoined Weight Watchers.  A program I know that works.  I lost 10% of my body weight when I was in Weight Watchers at the age of 25.

I know I'm doing this for myself.  I'm also doing this to be able to play with my daughter who at this time is 5 3/4.  Just the other day she said Mommy & Daddy are fat.  Yes she said it.  I told her we are working on loosing the weight so we can ride a bike with her, rollerskate with her, etc.


She also thinks she is fat.  She is 50 lbs at the age of 5 3/4.  Can I show her how to be healthy when I'm so unhealthy?

Of course you can!! Now that you have rejoined WW, you will be eating healthier and even if you're eating things that aren't so healthy, you will be eating them in moderation.  Kids learn by example and if you set the example that it's good to eat healthy food and sometimes indulge in things that aren't so healthy (In Moderation of course!!!) then your daughter will learn that she too should be eating how mommy and daddy eat.  You could even start exercising as a family.  You could all go for walks after dinner or have a dance off in the living room.  Kids love dancing around and having fun and it will bring you all closer together by doing things as a family.  Anything that involves everyone moving around can be considered "exercise".  When I read that your daughter said you and your husband are fat it broke my heart. I think that since she's so young, you should teach her not to use that word.  We live in such a judgmental world and even though it hurts when people you don't know say things like that, hearing it from someone you love hurts more.
