gold glittery nails

I’m having a love hate relationship with Sally Hansen Salon Effects Polish Strips. The leopard nail strips, I thought, would make a cute accent on my nails, as I’m obsessed with anything leopard print. And I was right! They lasted a week and looked great! So you can imagine that I was excited to try the gold glitter strips. But as I started to apply the gold strips, they were really hard to glue on and they wouldn’t stick and they peeled right off in one single piece. Ugh.

So then, I remembered I had a Sephora by OPI polish in Looks Like Rain, Dear- a glittery gold nail polish for New Year’s that I never wore, so this was the opportune time for me to test it out.

Lo and behold, the nail polish (of course) worked just perfectly, did not slip off as stickers tend to do, and I ended up with the pretty gold nails that I wanted.

So, I would recommend readers to try the leopard or fun print stickers from Sally Hansen, but would steer clear from the glittery ones.

Here's a pic of my gold nails in Looks Like Rain Dear:

Had the same problem with my glitter stick ons... I think the polish looks just as good.

At least they photograph well!

Definitely agree with you on this one! Since the nail strips go on a little crooked or crinkle when you put them on, the actual prints mask the imperfections on the nail (you also don't notice when they chip as much too)! I still have my leopard strips - I'll use them next week :)

Wow! Your nails look great, too bad then strips did not work. Hmmmm, thanks for the info, though!

Good to know! I wonder why the glitter nails didn't work as well as the prints, maybe it was a texture thing?
