Try this Beauty Look: Loose Curls
Try this easy to achieve loose curl look!
Heres how I did it:
Whenever I curl, I like to work with "day old" hair - my hair is fairly straight and slips out of curls easily, so doing all my washing and drying the night before works best. I am obsessed with Enjoy shampoos & conditioners, especially their Instant Reconstructor conditioner. After I get out of the shower, I use a quarter-size drop of Umberto Blow Dry Lotion on my towel-dried hair, then blow dry straight.
Ok, ok.. Now on to the curling! In the morning, I always run a small drop of Halo Smoothing Gel through my hair -tames all my crazy frizz from bed head! Then, I use a basic spring curling iron with a large barrel (I used 1.5 inches for this look). To achieve this style waves, just pull your section of hair out and away from your face, then position the iron with the "mouth" of the iron facing towards you, clamp at the bottom and roll in towards the scalp. This technique shold give your curl an away-from-your-face wave instead of an under curl or springy "Shirley Temple" curls. I usually do an all-over spray after each row of curls as I work my way up my head, but NEVER spray individual sections - the idea is loose, effortless curls - not pagent girl, stiff locks. My hairspray of choice right now is L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray (a current 2011 Beauty Award nominee!!) After your whole head is curled and beautiful, run your fingers through the curls to loosen and shape. Now, flip over and do the crazy hairspray-all-over techinque we all know and love anddd... you're done!!
