If you love Burt's Bees, You'll LOVE my DIY Secret

So, we all have heard of Burt's Bees Lip Balms and I'm sure many of us LOVE that they are all natural and super good for our lips. Well now you can have the same results but have the fun and convenience of making it AT HOME!! Follow my easy recipe below and enjoy your new Lip Balm AND Lip Exfoliator.

LIP BALM:

ingredients:

2 tsp. Almond Oil

1 tsp. Honey

1 tsp. Beeswax Pellets

1 Vitamin E Capsule

Directions:

Combine, Oil, Honey, Beeswax Pellets and the liquid from inside the Vitamin E Capsule (puncture a hole in the capsule with a pin or tip of a knife and then squeeze the capsule to extract the liquid inside) in a double boiler or small pan. Stir over low heat until the Beeswax Pellets melt.

Pour the mixture into a small container (like a small, travel make-up container so you can take your homemade lip balm with you in your purse) and allow to cool.

When the mixture solidifies, smooth onto lips just as you would do with regular lip balm  =)

*An Extra Tid-Bit: I put a drop of Vanilla Extract in my lip balm and not only did it smell heavenly but it tasted good too!!!*

LIP EXFOLIATOR:

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp. Granulated Sugar

1 Drop Honey

Directions:

Combine Sugar and Honey in a small bowl and stir until well blended.

Rub the mixture all over lips for 15-30 seconds using light, circular motions.

Gently wipe off with a warm washcloth.

*Hope you girls like these two recipes!!! I have been exfoliating my lips every other day and I have the softest lips ever now!!!! Let me know how you like it!!!!*

eBay is great for getting lots of wax at a super cheap price. I buy all my essential oils on there too. Fabulous recipes I just started making my own balms as well!! If you want a plumping lip balm add some cinnamon essential oil. It also keeps your breath fresh. :]

Another great website to get the beeswax pellets from is www.lemelange.com. They sell all different kinds of beeswax and it's pretty cheap too!!

It's not too hard at all!!! It's actually pretty easy. You can purchase beeswax pellets at any arts & craft store or you can buy it off of Amazon.com if you prefer online shopping  =)  The sugar/honey exfoliator is my absolute FAVE and ur right, it tastes soo good!!!

Thanks, this sounds like it wouldn't be too hard to do.  Where do you get the beeswax pellets?  Like the Lip exfoliator too.  I've tried using sugar and honey before and it tastes great and it really works!
